Okami - Penrith

We enjoyed our first visit to Okami. The service was excellent, we did not have to wait very long for the food. The food was fantastic except for the Shumai. We can highly recommend the sushi and miso beef. We will definitely be returning!

Some of the food we ordered didn’t come out particularly beef yakiniku and beef teriyaki. We got chicken teriyaki. We gave this feedback when we paid and they willingly offered to have the items that didn’t come out to be served . But we were already full. Overall we had a great time and everything that came out tasted well. Servers were also all pleasant and accommodating. Will surely come back and recommend this place.

The dining experience was amazing The food, service and staff exceeded all my expectations. I would 200% recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves great fresh and delicious Japanese food. 5 star service all the way.

Food taste good but the waiting time is quite long

We used the app on the table to place our orders, but they weren’t going through, so we had to keep asking the waiters where our food was.

We have being a regular customers of Okami Penrith for the past few years and honestly Valentine's day has been the worst experience so far. Second seating of the night and we had to wait more than 1 hour to get our first serve food or drinks. Having a allocated slot of time to eat, it would be assumed that the services would be fast enough to let us to do a few rounds of our favorites dishes. Not this time unfortunately. We left at 9.30pm still hungry and unhappy. This is not acceptable for a all you can eat type of restaurant.

Very busy as it was Valentines Day. Staff were rushed off their feet, so service was slow to start, but improved as the night wore on. Rather noisy as restaurant was packed to capacity. Would visit there again

Was such a good enjoyable first time experience. The prawn katsu was definitely my favourite item on the menu 🥰

QR ordering is not acceptable for us, we ordered via the printed menu thru staff. Plus, we were ready to pay CASH but apparently machine for cash transaction is broken. We will not go back ever until they provide better service.

Food was great! Only slightly annoying thing was ordering via the QR code. Whenever you add an item to your order, it takes you back to the top of the menu instead of where you left off. Scrolling down every time you add an item to your order was quite frustrating.

Steak was chewy. Chicken was hard & dry. Vegetables were sad & soggy. Drink order took some time to arrive.

Food at Okami is delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very nice place to have dinner.

We had some issues with the ordering system and the kitchen not receiving our order which was disappointing but we finally got it sorted out and food started to flow, our waitress was wonderful and helpful.

First time visiting. Restaurant had good vibes with many customers. The food arrived quickly. I think there was a good selection of dishes, and the quality of food was fine. I wasn't sure what to expect with the quality for an all you can eat Japanese restaurant, but it was fine. Maybe the tempura batter could have been fluffier it seemed overcooked. As I do like to have a drink whilst having dinner, it would have been nice to have Japanese whiskey or Japanese vodka on the drinks menu, but that's just me. Cheers.

We didn't realise that we needed to scan to order, as no one left the docket for us to do so, until we had been sitting for around 10 minutes, waiting for a menu, & had to ask a staff member how to order. The food was very nice & the food came out reasonably quickly though, after the initial hick up.

This was my first visit to Okami, Penrith, and it was quite enjoyable. the restaurant looked good, it had a great atmosphere, service was very attentive and the food was faultless. My only complaint was the noisiness, other than that, it was a terrific evening.

This is our third visit.. food quality improved however service not that great need more attention to customer would be great👍.

Poor service from staff who gave our orders to another table nearby and brought many orders out to the tables nearby, who all came into the restaurant and ordered after us and then the staff left us waiting for 30 minutes without receiving any food and then brought all the dishes out at once.

Tasty fresh food, wonderful company, great staff & service. Would highly recommend to all.

Food and service great. There was a bit of noise but that was due to it being busy which was good to see. I did like the new way of ordering the food and drinks. Much more efficient.
