Outback Jacks – Glenelg

The service from the staff was outstanding not quite sure if the steaks are value for money and not sure if the chefs know how to cook them how you want them but overall was an ok experience!

Not like it used to be menu change disappointing experience won't go back made me feel like they put in less effort staff are not as prompt.

The steak was so small and over cooked . Half the plate was taken up by lettuce . Not a good experience and won't go back .

The service and food was very terrible!! Waited 30 mins just for drinks and another hour for food! I won't be going back there again!!!

The staff were very polite but quite slow making the drinks. Other than that great place with pretty good food. Will probably return to Outback Jacks.

My meat had a weird taste to at as did my potato. I did not get my side order and had to ask for it. Everyone on the table that asked for no salad got salad and coleslaw. There was a long wait for sub par food. The only good thing about this place is the friendly staff.

2 meals fantastic, beef ribs and a chicken dish. The 2 steaks ordered were both cold and were replaced. The replacements were only just warm. To their credit, Outback Jacks took 20% off the bill

We brought one of our team member from OS, for a little bit of an Australian flavor. The food was excellent, large serves, and good service. :D

The service was amazing. We were definitely looked after. The food was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend eating here.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal with a real Aussie twist. Fast, friendly service - we will definitely recommend & will come back for another meal!

First time my partner had tried kangaroo and crocodile, both amazing and the steaks were cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back again soon!

Walked in and they did not have my reservation even though I showed them my confirmation email. So sat us in front of the door which was freezing cold and had a 6 month old, the said they had a flood that day but the back space seemed fine to us. Asked for coke but gave me Pepsi and didn't tell us. Older lady dropped a plate with gravy and splattered over my arm/face and coat didn't apologise for it. Ordered a salad with a side of chips but chips never came. When we went to pay had to be split bills (which was fine) but older lady was very rude towards us and not helpful at all. Usually we love going to Outback Jacks at Glenelg but this was very disappointing and I don't think we will be coming back. Please bring the old out backs jack.

They had less than a 1/4 of their tables filled when we arrived but it still took at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged by a waiter to tell us which reserved table was ours. Once seated they bought our drinks out pretty quickly but then we waited another 15 minutes to have our order taken and only when we had called a waiter over. Entrees came out pretty quickly and we're delicious! Mains came not long after but we're really disappointing, the steak was medium to well done when we both asked for medium rare (you would assume a steak house could cook their steak properly) the chips were clearly the cheapest frozen brand they could buy and the gravy (which costs an additional 2.95 was really bland, and a tiny tiny serving) we had both eaten half and then moved our plates to the other side of the table so it was pretty clear we were done. Another 20 minutes went by and not so much eye contact from and waiter. I stood at the bar for another 5 minutes waiting to pay seeing as no one bothered to clear our table or even asked if we wanted a desert menu. All in all I was really disappointed that we spent $100 there and had such a dismal experience. It's not that hard to make eye contact with a customer and say "I'll be right with you". Staff stood behind the bar less than 3 meters away from me and made customers feel like somehow we were putting them out. Next time I'll go to hogs breath

The food was excellent, everything was really tasty and good value. While the service was good it did seem to be a bit slow but they did apologise because it was quite busy.

Food was great as always, but they were unable to cool down back section of restaurant facing ocean given the glass windows which meant we only ordered mains to escape heat.

What a lovely night we had. Food was great and not massive meals you feel the need to eat everything on your plate. Service was great too. Will definitely be going back

Took a while for food to arrive. Waitress taking order was not smiling at all. Maybe she was exhausted at that time due to place quite crowded. Food was great though. Overall experience is good.

Excellent service and great meals definetly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy quality beef and seafood. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is amazing.

Delicious steaks! Good service. In and out within an hour, very fast service although could of sat for much longer but no room for deserts!

Great service, with very polite and attentive servers. The prices were a little over the top for a steak that was nothing out of the ordinary. The burgers were huge and were very well received. The Bourbon Pork spare ribs were the biggest let down as they were not as meaty as they could have been and were quite fatty. They were still very flavoursome but the meat was more sparse than I have experienced in the past. Still a great family night out with great sunset views of the beach.

Service was excellent and the food was quite enjoyable. The atmosphere is family friendly and their children's menu is quite varied. We will definitely return.

We absolutely loved our meals and entrée. Was a great way to spend our anniversary night... sitting near the beach at sunset enjoying some awsome food.

We had a long wait for meals, it was very average food for the cost. I ordered pork ribs, but was served a mixture of pork, lamb and beef.

Great service, friendly staff. Very quickly shown to our table. The food was served quickly and wasreally nice too. Would certainly be going back again.

Not really good and quite expansive. I waited for almost 30 mins and the food quality was not really good. Around 9 p.m. the staff started putting the chairs up which makes me feel stressed it seems like they want me to pay the bill and go lol

I felt sorry for the only staff member there expected to wait on everyone at lunch time on a Friday not good enough. (I will say did a great job) Ordered a steak well done wiv garlic prawns in which states on the menu takes 45min, mine arrived 15min after ordering, it was chewy the garlic sauce was lumpy & to my discust the mash potato was a powder mix (deb). The glasses werent washed properly leaving lipstick around the rim. My daughters salt/pepper squid was rushed & way too peppery. Overall spending $130 (which i never spend that much on lunch being on a disability) we walked away disheartened. Salad was fresh with a lovely dressing.

It was quite smokey in the restaurant, at first couldn't breathe properly. Food was ok, being mainly steak that is served you would think the chefs would get it right. Friends ended up getting a $45 voucher due to steaks being over cooked. Will try it again one day maybe they will get it right next time.

The food and the staff were amazing couldn't ask for more next time we're in Glenelg we will go there and have a great feed

Started bad as they had no record of the reservation we made via Quandoo!!!! They however accommodated us very well and great meal. Next time will book direct.

it was very easy to book online, we had a nice Father's Day lunch and the service was fine and the staff were all very friendly

No split bills across 5 parties resulting in 3 groups having to find an ATM for cash. Apparently this is the new "acceptable" way to do businesss in a trend towards a cashless world. Overcharged us as well.

Seated near the door on the sea side. Great view and served very quickly.Food was plentiful and delicious.Husband had chicken schnitzel and I had breast is best, which it was.All in all an enjoyable lunch

Great location, best views are near the kitchen but I came home smelling like a bbq. Pricey too, big portions, great service. Probably wouldn't go back.

Service was exceptional. Husband's steak was perfection. Good quality steak for even the kid's meal. Smothered chicken was okay, chicken cooked perfectly just not the most flavoursome. We'll definitely be returning again.

Outback jacks was a great experience for me and my family , not always easy to go for dinner with children aged 1 and 3 , but the staff at outback jacks Glenelg really made it much easier , nothing was too much trouble .
