Round Bird is an iconic, long standing family run cafe and wine shop at the gateway to the Yarra Valley and Dandenong ranges. Laura is the head chef of our little establishment, her husband Evan is on the coffee machine, and their young son Connor is often seen carrying coffees or food to tables, greeting guests and even making coffee’s with his dad. Our dog, while absolutely beautiful, is also completely useless in a hospitality setting, so we leave her on our bed at home.

Round Bird began with Laura and Evan in 2014, and since then has grown and changed as its owners and community have. The core of what we do is good, honest, hard working hospitality. We are open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, serving high quality cafe fare as well as local wines to enjoy with your meal or take home. On top of this we incorporate the Round Bird Artspace where we exhibit local artists, run kids art workshops, and even Paint & Sip events. Our wine range has extended to include a boutique retail space focused again on local, small, independent wine makers.
