Welcoming and friendly staff. Good pacing of drinks and chat. Food was great and prompt. Lovely and warm on a wet and cold night. Love it and keen to return. Warren Bent 28th August 2019

We have been to this restaurant a few times and we keep coming back for their delicious curries. Their desserts are good too. All dishes are reasonably priced. Good cafe latte too. Very friendly service. Ample off street parking. For those who prefer not to drive, East Richmond Station is only a minute walk away. Will we come again? Yes!

Beautiful food and great service. A little noisy and felt we had to speak quite loud to be heard by our friends. Didn’t seem overly busy but as no soft furnishings, felt quite loud. Overall a wonderful night.

Arguably the best Thai food in Melbourne. The Pad Serb Ew is fantastic and the roti bread is so good, it’s life changing.

Sabai is a great value restaurant. Good food with good service, at very affordable prices. Manager, Aaron is always on hand to answer questions, and recommend a new and tasty dish. Also they are able to control the chilli level to acceptable heat, unlike most restaurants these days.

I booked Sabai Thai in Richmond after reading the reviews so thought I'd give it a go. My experience with Sabai Thai did not disappoint. Food was amazing and the service was great. Penang curry of four hour slow braised Great Southern Pinnacle Beef Rib, Thai eggplant, chilli and herbs - to die for! A must try. I'll be back. Thanks for a great experience Sabai Thai!

The food here in this very casual restaurant is top-notch, along with a BYO policy, and terrific service. Aaron, manager, is very friendly, attentive, and readily understands the sort of food, degree of heat, and amount you want. The price is very very good. A local dining treat.

I went here for a celebratory dinner with my university friends - it was a delicious meal and lovely environment. Staff were attentive and friendly, and both the food and wine arrived quickly at our table. Great night!

There is no doubt you can have a lovely time there. We took our 10-month-old baby with us, the staff was really kind an friendly to him. Off course the dish was stunning. We will come back very soon!

Nice restaurant and service, they have discounts for Mon and Tue when you order the right special dish of the day. But food was not the best

Food and service is always good. The noise level however was extreme. The manager offered us an upstairs room, but we did decline, so I suppose we just have to wear that.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is divine and well-priced. It's a neighborhood gem, good for a couples night, or a bigger get-together.

Fabulous food at very reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was delicious; the yellow curry, the lamb shank curry which was melt-in-the -mouth, very tender prawn and calamari stir-fry, tasty crab sliders and a classic pad thai. Restaurant was very accommodating as we were held up with our arrival time, although service could have been more attentive once we were there; it was hard to get wait staff's attention. Very disappointed that their Thai version of Bombe Alaska wasn't available.

Fantastic food and lovely service. Dining at Sabai is always a real treat. It's a really lovely experience and we can highly recommend visiting. You wont be disappointed.

Great place to eat with friendly service and a chilled vibe. Roti would probably be the best I have had although serving sizes could be a little bigger.
