Sammy's on the Marina

Was at the restaurant for 3 hours but were only asked for a drink once (at the beginning). Entrees came out before the drinks. Main course took over an hour. Waiter forgot what we'd ordered for dessert. Great position for restaurant but doubt I'll be back.

Great food great service but a bit noisy. Was busy for a Tuesday night and tables are quite close together but had a lovely night.

Booked in at 8pm and had to wait over an hour to even get in to a table. Decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere.

Wait long time for meal ,and the order that come out was wrong

We were served quickly and the staff were friendly. We made the mistake of sitting outside and the wind cooled our food a bit too quickly (our fault) my only suggestions would be, the staff were not overly attentive after our meal was served. We received one drink, and after finishing that one no one offered more etc - good food, good location

No words can describe how I feel, i won't be back.

At least we had each other. Won't be going back in a hurry

I am vegetarian so chose the Zucchini noodles.It had lots of flavour.The dish had lots of garlic and tomatoe to give it a yummy taste.My family chose non vegetarian meals and they enjoyed theirs very much.Lots to choose from the menue .Yes I will be back.Only complaint is I asked for a window table but we couldn’t see out as the window obscured our view.The restaurant could do with updating.I was there years ago and it hasn’t changed much.

Loved the extra pleasantries. It was our 41st Wedding anniversary and they made a lovely desert plate with "Happy 41st Anniversary" Thank you! A great evening.

What a wonderful dining experience. Not only is the food AMAZING but staff were so lovely and understanding about several requests due to my daughters difficulties (ASD). They went to extra lengths at the end of the lunch to wish me a Happy Birthday. LOVED it can't wait to go back!

Overcooked, tough lobster, overpriced platter, incredibly disappointing, ended up with the next table practically sitting in our laps while still trying to eat, will not be back.

We wanted somewhere special for our 26th wedding anniversary and Sammy’s was perfect. The setting is gorgeous, the food was delicious and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We were given a couple of extras in the way of a shared dessert and glass of champagne 🥂. Very nice. We would highly recommend Sammy’s.

Food was great. First part of the service was just ok but when different waitress took over it improved. Ambience was ok.

Enjoyable night at Sammy’s. Maybe thought that restaurant staff needed a bit more food knowledge about what we were being served. Otherwise fine.

Everything on platter was cold except the salmon. Very disappointed with the platter considering it was $190 and worth $60! Would not return 😩

We were in a large group and that can be difficult for the restaurant and staff but for the most part we were happy with our dining experience. A few of the meals came out slightly wrong but when we asked the staff to fix it, it was done really quickly. All of the staff were friendly and we’d happily go back again.

We dined at Sammy’s in 2011 and came back (under new management) to see what it was like and wasn’t disappointed. I had scallops to start and they were cooked perfectly (5 scallops). Seafood Marinara was plentiful, although the pasta wasn’t homemade (or fresh) but it didn’t disappoint; plenty of seafood. My partner’s Whiting has a few bones in but the waiter was quick to come to the table and insisted on a fresh dish and returned with ing a few minutes. The fish was lovely and plentiful. Can’t fault the service - excellent.
