Good authentic food and willing service but not enough veggie dishes! A bit overcrowded and noisy, seating also not so comfortable and of course, typical of SE Asian restaurants, no privacy at all! But overall, I enjoyed it and will go there again for sure.
Food was excellent and value for money, love the nasi lemak which was huge and could definitely feed 4 pax! Will definitely visit it again with my family!
Fresh, authentic and delicious Malay food. We ordered the nasi lemak to share, roti, two drinks and a durian ice kachang and we could barely finish it. Food was soooo good! Excellent value too.
The ais kacang was so good and refreshing. Can’t wait to return to try the cendol😀
The service was very good and extremely efficient as we didn't have to wait very long for our meals at all. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Prices very reasonable too.
The food at Sedap is hit and miss. The roti canai is definitely the best in Perth I think. Rendang and mee goreng as is good. But I am not a fan of their prawn noodle soup (broken up noodles and oily stock) and the nasi lemak (sambal is way too hot and the sambal squid is tough). Fried chicken is also terrible - not much flavour and not crispy. Our serve was very rubbery ( which I think was due to the fact it was cooked prior and just microwaved before serving.)
Food was great drinks for the 2nd time were below average and iced kachung was way too sweet and not enough ice we’d still be back though
Great food ...beef RENDANG was tasty and melted in your mouth... curry chicken the same..as well as the squid.... the egg roti was so nice.. finished off with ice kacang perfect meal at very good price
Best Nasi Lemak in Perth, and it is great even if you compare it to Nasi Lemaks in Malaysia. The mamak fried chicken is just delicious!
this is not the first time I have been der. love going der
Food and service is great! The staff are very polite, friendly and gave their best service despite it being a busy night. The girl who took our order even suggested some food combination for my friend who wanted to try their fried chicken but didn't want a heavy meal. Will definitely go back there again.
We all really enjoyed our meal.. Very flavoursome and great portion sizes.. The Sambal has a kick to it but bearable. Next time we'll allow space for dessert..
Great service and food, love the menu reminding me of the restaurants in Malaysia. The portion of the share plates was big. Try their weekly specials of classic Malaysian dishes
Good food with lots of variety. Food came out quickly and we had no issue. The venue is small so not pram friendly but generally kid friendly. We will be back.
Excellent value for money tasty food and friendly service always
Brought relatives and friends over for dinner and everyone enjoy the food that was ordered.. Good service and will be back again very soon.. keep it up..
Overall is good, will definitely come back with friends and family.
Awesome food! Especially the curry laksa. It's a must try! Recommend to book online as you usually have to wait for at least 15mins if you walk in.
Absolutely love this place! It reminds me being in Malaysia! The flavors are amazing and very fresh and the prices are so cheap! Will definitely be coming back
Food was absolutely delicious and authentic. I had visitors from interstate who absolutely loved the food and would love to come back again. Service was great and staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back again and recommend friends.
Great restaurant to get the popular Malaysian dishes. The fried chicken in the Nasi Lemak burger was overdone on this occasion.
It was really good. Quick service. Food came out fast and was very tasty. Menu is big enough but not overwhelming. Make sure to BYO if you want a drink
Fast and efficient service, despite being so crowded. Food came out promptly and was very tasty. Overall was a lovely ambience. Definitely will go back for more
Enjoyed the nasi lemak, char koay teow, mamak mee etc. Service was fast and efficient and staff well mannered. This is my third time there and I will definitely go back again.
great staff always smiling and happy to help make you comfortable. food tastes great and presentation is fantastic.
Overall great experience with the food and service. That was our second visit to Sedap Place. We will definitely return to try other dishes, especially the ice kacang and cedol which we were told will be on the menu from Nov.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was the best part as the Nasi Lemak was delicious and authentic especially the sambal which i had to ask for more. The Teh Tarik and Milo towers were great as well
Friendly staff were very attentive and made our dining experience a pleasant one. Our food came to the table very quickly. BYO with no corkage
This is my second time visiting. First time was ok but this time around Food was nothing special, curry chicken was bland and was Really Really disappointed with the staffs!!!! There are 3 tables outside, so me and my partner sat outside on the table nearest to the door. The other 2 tables were whites. 2 diferent staffs at different times, just walked past us and went to both the 2 other tables with whites and asked them if they are alright and if they need anything else, and then walked past us again back in. Were they taught to put priorities on races and colours or what? Seriously a very bad experience, thankfully theres other better malaysian restaurants in perth with much better service!!!
Introduced Sedap Place to my non-Malaysian colleagues. We had a great time enjoying the yummy food but unfortunately we had stomach upset after our meal. Not sure what happened. Suspecting theTeh Tarik tower drink we shared.
Food tasty. Service was ok. A bit slow. Like we had a shared plate and we had to ask for individual plates. Did ask for water but had to remind them about it. Will visit again because the food is good. Hope this is constructive.
Very nice and flavoursome food, not for those who can't handle spice. Well priced and was quite busy, book in advance. Would go again for sure. Loved their curry laksa.
Very authentic and tasty! It can be a bit loud when it's busy. The staff could be a little more attentive. We were there for 1 and a half hours and there was no offer of more drinks or dessert.
We had a nasi lemak share plate and it really nice , beef rendang was the best, good value for share plate. Can't wait to try other dishes.
Overall, the food was great and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this as being great atmosphere, great food, great location and friendly staff
Great food, great service. I was slightly disappointed that they did not honour the voucher from the Most WA magazine, where the magazine states voucher can be used via taking a pic of the voucher. Nevertheless, I will still come back
Really nice food and the staff there are friendly and helpful. We had Nasi lemak and tea Tarik towel. Will recommend this to friends and family
Great authentic Malaysian food at very reasonable prices! The Roti, Nasi Lemak and laksa are delicious. We will definitely be coming back here again soon!
The best Teh tarik in WA. We enjoyed every dish we ordered that night. And will be going back to satisfy my teh tarik crave ...
Food portion is generous, very nice atmosphere and ambience with friendly staff members who are very accommodating. The laksa (volcano) was of good portion, the right level of spiciness.
Another amazing experience. We tried some different dishes and were amazed at the price and the quality.
Taste and authenticity of food can be improved A little pricey.
Taste authenticity of food should be improved. Ambience is the winning point.
We had Nasi Lemak, Fried Koay Teow, Curry Laksa and Teh Tarik. The food arrived promptly and we had good service. The place is nice and cosy. All the food is delicious and up to our expectation.
Love the food... authentic... one of the best Asian food we had. Sharing Nasi lemak was worth it. Kids enjoy and love to come back again.
Great roti canai and bean sprouts. Laksa needed more of a kick. Teh Tarik is more of a masala chai than the malaysian tea.... (not a chai as us Aussies know it...but a proper indian masala tea...). Was bloody delicious. Love this place and excellent service!
Our third visit in two months and once again, we weren't dissapointed. We had the Nasi Lemak with all the sides to share as well some egg prata and some drinks. Substantial and delicious! Kid friendly too as the little one was occupied with crayons and colouring paper. It's our new favourite joint to have good quality and tasty Malaysian/Singaporean fare!
Had to wait for 10 mins at door before taken to table. Food was delicious but a bit pricy. Service was great, waitresses were friendly.
Just amazingly tasty, enjoyable and different food. (seems I have to write more words to make this count but all people need to know is it is a cute little reasonably priced Asian restaurant, the flavours of the food are so genuine and fresh compared to others)
Sedap has a good atmosphere and great food. I loved the nasi lemak with fried chicken, and was pleased to see a variety of food on the menu. The service was alright, and could be improved in the attentiveness.
