Shiki Japanese Restaurant

As usual the Japanese food was excellent, especially the gyozas. We have eaten gyoza all over the world , including several times in Japan , but Peter’s are up there with the best and much cheaper than many other inferior ones ( often served in Chinese owned restaurants masquerading as Japanese - often “ all you can eat” is the tell tale sign that they are not authentic !)

First time at Shiki and certainly NOT the last. The Food. The Service. The attention to detail and to customers was absolutely Wonderful. Looking forward to returning.

We took some friends who had never been to Shiki and who love Japanese food. They were impressed with the freshness of the sashimi as well as the teriyaki and tepanyaki and bento box. A really lovely meal at very reasonable prices Good quick service as well.

We celebrate our youngest (adult) daughter's birthday at Shiki Japanese Restaurant almost every year. We know the food is delicious and prices are reasonable. This year, we also invited relatives along and everyone enjoyed their dinner.

Delicious food. Served sizzling and fresh. Happy with our experience and would definitely dine here again.

Have always enjoyed the meals at Shiki. The food is always fresh, and staff are friendly.

Food was pretty good but there it was a Saturday lunch and we were the only ones there. It was awkwardly quiet with no music and a host who had AirPods in and not interested in customer service. The chef was polite but we could see into the kitchen and it looked dirty. As a dining experience, it was poor… but for takeaway food, probably worth a shot.

Meal was lovely, but not rapt about paying a 10% surcharge for the weekend. Might stop us from coming back over the weekend. Might also be why there were only 2 tables dining in there.

Yummy food and an old-school relaxed vibe. This was my 5-year-old daughters first Japanese food, and it was a hit.

The food was amazing, well cooked and well seasoned but the service took longer than usual.

Found the wait staff were a bit cold. Also, waited to order. Food was lovely

Food and service were both very good. Got a bit of a surprise at when presented with the bill. Cost a fair bit more than our last visit.

Tried the fish don and fried beef noodles. A bit salty for both and prefer the don much more. The dorayaki with green tea ice cream was well presented but the dorayaki was not freshly made so not great for the price paid. Overall a bit pricy for the portion.

Booked an early dinner and it was awesome. The place was quiet and the staff were so attentive. Food was great and there was so much! Amazing!

The Sapporo banquet was a great experience. Food was great and the timing between courses was near perfect.
