It can sometimes be a difficult job finding a genuine taste of Thailand outside of Thailand, but not so if you’re in Brisbane and clued up when it comes to Siam Samram. Open since 2008, this gorgeous, authentically-decorated restaurant in West End sits proudly on Boundary Street and serves traditional Thai dishes with a few welcome modern touches. For lunch or for dinner, enjoy vibrant curries, expertly-seasoned meats and veggies, light yet booming soups as well as curious Thai-style salads. You’d also be wise to take Siam Samram up on their whole fish dishes, many of which are served with gluten-free sauces and garnishes. Brisbane, enjoy!

A return visit to a favourite restaurant which always delivers - and on this occasion a thunderstorm hit on Xmas Eve midway through the meal. The staff were amazing weatherproofing what they could and relocating diners from drenched areas. And through it all they still served up fabulous food with a smile.
