Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
Dear diners, if using a Scoopon voucher please call the restaurant directly, as they are not accepted with online reservations.
It seems appropriate that you find Spicy Affair Bar and Restaurant on Clarendon Street, just a few blocks from South Melbourne Market, because their food tastes so fresh it could be straight from a market stall. This freshness and quality produce is one philosophical facet at Spicy Affair; another one is respect for traditional Indian culinary techniques; but perhaps the most intriguing is a drive to provide diners with something new and exciting. This South Melbourne favourite throws their own spin on classics like breakfast paratha or fried vegetable pakoras, twists traditional tandoori favourites to give them some zing, and calls on inspiration from Southeast and central Asia (try their wok-tossed chilli chicken or their fried Manchurian cauliflower) to broaded the experience way beyond that of your average Indian restaurant.

The food was incredible and the service was lovely! Only thing that hampered the experience (5/6) was having two servers constantly switch up on us, and one server spoke very quietly so it was difficult to communicate at times. Both servers were lovely, it just got confusing at a few points throughout the evening. Overall, fantastic Indian restaurant! Hope to return soon :)
Good food. Would be great more veg options. Will refer to friends and colleagues to organize for social gatherings too. Thanks for your hospitality and service.
The food was not good as well the staff was not aware what was included. Food was not ordered as per the order. The food was not worth to the amount spent.
