There is a nice menu and the food was great quality . Friendly staff and quick service and some nice drinks to choose from . Very enjoyable.

The food was ok but the service was terrible. We waited over half an hour for them to even take a drinks order. Trying to get a second drink was almost impossible.

Delicious. The ceviche is yummy as well as the Guac. Mains the Cesar is interesting but our favourite is asado tacos and chicken enchiladas. We love this place so much we nearly dine here once a week.

Amazing food and amazing service! Will definitely be back regularly! The kids area is also fantastic and a great way for the afults to relax and enjoy their evening

If I could rate this place any lower I would! Do yourself a favour and don't bother. Terrible is an understatement! I ordered a Southern Fried Chicken burger which was as hot as the sun - with no warning on the menu. The waiter had no idea about ANYTHING. I asked for soda water but he said 'no we don't have that, we just have sparkling mineral water'.. hmm. Drinks served in Ikea plastic cups. It was a HOT afternoon and we sat in the outdoor area which was like a sauna with the plastic weather-protection unable to be lifted to allow air-flow.. Leaving was the best part knowing I would not return. This place will not be there long... I call it a 'place' because calling it a 'restaurant' would be an insult.

Staff lovely, Poppers & fish a little too over done (very dark batter) my dish was lovely (naked barrito bowl) & our Son enjoyed his chicken enchilada's

Service attentive,eager to please but food only average,in trying to put their own spin on Mexican food it has detracted not enhanced the dish,maybe I just chose the wrong dish.

Service was very good. quick and attentive. I found the chips and dips (starter) a little ordinary and would have liked to have seen homemade chips. My families meals were nice, however, I ordered the pulled pork and found them very dry and ate less than half.

Our online booking was for 7.30 we arrived at 7.20 and was told we were too early and to come back. Our reservation stated we had a table inside but when we returned we were taken out the back. It was noisy with little kids running around unsupervised. To the managers credit he did give us our first drinks on the house for our table not being ready. Young staff worked well and friendly. Food was served promptly. Would like to try again would suggest maybe a later time 8pm onwards as it did quiet down a little. Food was average, still prefer Mexican at Gymea unfortunately.

When we walked in it smelled so good. Good atmosphere and vibe. We were seated and it did take a little while for our order to be taken. Food came out fast. Entrees first. We enjoyed the chips and queso. Cornbread was a fail in my eyes. Drenched in butter but didn’t cover the stale and nearly burnt taste. Cornbread should not be made like that. Mains came out. I loved my chilli con carne. Texture flavour and just enough toppings. Piping hot too! Hubby had burger. Flavour was good but burger patty wasn’t cooked thru. Still cold in parts. Chips were not cooked enough either. Fast service but undercooked food isn’t a good look. Son had chicken tacos but he found them too spicy. I had one and enjoyed it but it would make sense to serve more traditional with two tortillas to help with meat making one soggy. Daughter had Mac and cheese and she ate it all. Basic but good for children. Overall I was happy with first experience. We will definitely be back to try other things. I hope my review helps with tweaking menu and service. Kids loved playing outside and staff were helpful and friendly.

Had a great jug of margaritas, the meal I picked was very filling, chilli concerned, would probably go fo the fish tacos next time! Service was good

Delicious as usual except for the new version of the jalapeño poppers which are super hard, deep fried and filled or rolled in rice with barely any cheese

Great food. Great service! Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Plenty of vegan options for my daughter. Large serves - none of us left hungry. 10/10!

Lovely meal, service was fantastic - food came out quickly which was great for hungry kids! They loved the pork sliders and mac+cheese, the burrito bowl and tacos were also delicious! We’ll definitely be back. Great job for a new restaurant!!

Outside way to noisy to even hear conversations Food came quick but we had to ask for plates cutlery serviette that took little while to point husband went to bar and just took Staff look like they don’t know what they doing Why does wait staff need to run in between buildings Sorry won’t be back

Had dinner at Tejano's tonight we both enjoyed the meal. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend Tejano's and we definitely will return.

Great food! Great variety on the menu for kids and grown ups. Love the kids play area and the outdoor space. Will be back soon to try the cocktails

food and atmosphere was good. before we went one of our friends warned us they bring all the food as it was ready. we thought we would be smart and order starters, wait 15 minutes, then order mains. they still brought the mains with half the starters on the table, which barely fit all the food, so we were eating chicken wings over a plate of mains. otherwise was a perfect evening

Great restaurant, great service, food was excellent and authentic Mexican. The on tap beers were very good. Would Highly recommend if looking for true Mexican.

It wasn’t what I expected, as soon as we got there we were told the table had been booked for 1.1/2 hours and the kids were disappointed with the food my taco was ok

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this new restaurant, we did provide verbal feedback on the night and I hope for the owners that they resolve meal issues and get some glass cups instead of plastic! Maybe I will continue reading current reviews to see if things have improved before returning.

Delicious. Love the baked jalepeno poppers and the corn is yum too. The enchaladas and carne tacos are amazing. If you like more spice as for their amazing hot sauce :-)

Service was fantastic! Our waitress was really friendly and fabulous at her job! Lovely food and great drinks. Was a busy night and it’s great to have something like this in Engadine!

Food is amazing and if you like spicy ask for some of their hot sauce. This should be bottled it is hot and smoky and yummy.

The entree's came out and they were average the guacamole was so chunky that there was a quarter of an avocado in one piece, the wings were very good, the cheese dip watery...before we had finished the entrees the mains came out and the young staff tried to take the entree's away there was no break between courses an overlap if anything...the Owner apologised and got us a second round of drinks ...but the mains were disappointing...my son who always cleans up Tex/Mex couldn't finish , I couldn't finish and we all left very disappointed..the flavours were bland definitely will not be returning

Great food, comfortable, warm atmosphere and reasonably priced. Options to share or have your own huge meal. Service a bit clunky but they only opened not long ago.

The vibe is really cool and they've done an awesome job setting up the outside area however, I felt the food was very average. I had the chicken enchiladas and there was way too much sauce on the plate which made the presentation look very poor. The flavours itself were nice but nothing memorable unfortunately...Real rating would be about a 3.5. Mexican food really thrives off super fresh ingredients and spice and I think this place would really do well if they finessed their presentation and flavours as it has the potential to do well in that space.

It was a fun atmosphere and I think the food has a lot of potential but as a vegetarian myself and my partner found the menu very bland. We got nachos and a salad and both were nothing special. They both needed much more beans and some sort of protein added as it didn’t fill us up much at all

Serving size was extreamly small Asked for bread to come with out burrito bowl expecting it to be some kind of wrap bread that you would get on a normal burrito and we got this strange sweet desert bread Food was bland and extreamly basic

Yummy food, service was great and fast! Meals were reasonably priced and great selection of drinks to choose from! Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious & fresh, all 5 of us really enjoyed our meals! We took one point off for a few minor service comments - there wasn’t enough cutlery & napkins in the tin on our table & had to ask for more, we also had to ask for plates & forks to eat our cake, also the young man serving looked bored & like he preferred to be elsewhere, however the manager/owner was very attentive & chatty. We’ll be back soon.

While the waiting staff were keen to serve, they were too fast. Entrees were served in less than 10 minutes from ordering, and shortly after that mains. Tortillas were cardboard-like. Overall it lacked flavour. While portion sizes were reasonable the food was not as pleasant. Maybe it was early days and they improve with experience!

Excellent service. We sat inside and the friendly waiters and waitress were very friendly and attentive. Food came out super fast which was great as we were hungry. We had no room for desert so will make sure I do next time.

Service was frustrating when we were seated outside. One meal was missing off our order, it was replaced by the incorrect meal but all good and the incorrect margarita was served to me but I was told to taste it by the waitress. I said yes it is a margarita but a tommy not a classic but then gave up and drank it. A few teething problems but all good as the food was delicious.

More healthy options on menu. Person who leads you to table actually tell you they are going outside, we had never been in that building before.

Atmosphere, food and drinks were great. Food came out promptly and was a really nice refreshing twist to traditional Mexican food we are used to eating There is also a great play area for children out the back.

Breath of fresh air for Engadine, we’ve been needing something like this for so long! Delicious, authentic Mexican food with great service. Fish tacos were mouthwatering. We’ll be back :)

Food was okay, but wouldn’t rave about it. Very very salty, even the dessert tasted of too much salt !!! I did not enjoy drinking water from a child’s plastic cup either. Table was sticky when we sat down, my arms stuck to it !!! Hope things improve

No fajitas and no cheese on tacos other than feta. Apparently that is traditional but it just feels like cutting corners. Very simple cheap food. Tacos were soft with lettuce sour cream and chicken. No capsicum or tomato or fresh ingredients that you would expect. A suggestion for kids would be a melted cheese wrap. Need cheese! Margaritas was watery too. Avacado dip was $12.

The service was great the food was tasty! Atmosphere was busy but welcoming. The beers on tap were nice and there was plenty to choose from on the menu.

Great friendly service, with an vibrant atmosphere. More importantly the food and cocktails were delicious. We will be going back very soon, with a bigger group next time.

Food was great but main meal came when we still had our entree dips. Very good value and plenty of vegan and gf options to try !

Food was different from usual Mexican but very nice and well presented. Thought the $5 corkage was a bit steep but othwise very nice. Will go back to try other dishes
