Was not what I expected, overpriced, small portions, not very tasty, poor service, waste of my money, although the nachos was alright says some people
Booked 3 weeks ago and was still seated outside in the cold when there was tables inside. I questioned the waitress on this. Serving sizes quite small. We ordered desert to try fill the whole but still left hungry. Service was excellent. Very attentive and always making sure everything was ok. $5 corkage is a bit steep.
For a last minute booking during their first week I can't complain! Atmosphere was great, kids loved the outdoor area, service was friendly and drinks were nice and reasonably priced. Not the best Mexican food I've had but will give them another go in a few weeks or so.
Great food, early days so the hiccups in service is understood & ok. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable staff. We will be back as it is nice to have a different choice in our area.
New restaurant so still finding their rhythm, the staff were very attentive though making sure we weren't missing anything. The fish tacos were great, chicken burrito bowl could have used a little spicing up. Overall pretty good, and I'm confident they'll improve in the coming weeks as they settle in.
Guacamole was the highlight! Meals were quite small for the price but were nice. Pulled pork in meals were too tomatoey! Service was pretty good.
I thought it was ok but very over priced for portion sizes but the staff are lovely;) i think it will do well there once they get going
I realise this restaurant is new, BUT staff need to think where they are seating adults. This restaurant was packed, which is great for a new opening, but there were at least 25 children under two years of age in the back section, at one table. It was chaos. Extremely noisy and tables (too many tables) too close to each other. Staff were great and helpful by seating us inside the restaurant when we requested. Food is authentic Mexican, tasty and not overpriced. Nice décor as well. They will do well as this style of restaurant in Engadine is long overdue.
Seated adjacent to kids play area - very noisy. Also very cold (had to get a blanket and jackets from the car). Food was average at best. Had nachos - which were tasty enough but not a lot of topping and sour cream/guacamole added which meant most of meal was just plain corn chips. Sloppy joe was too spicy for my son with nothing else on it to calm the "heat". Enchiladas were bland without the sauce and too spicy with the sauce.
I had a nice vegan burrito bowl for dinner and tasty guacamole with corn chips. Friendly service with a smile and good atmosphere as well.
The restaurant looks great - I love the feel of the back area and think the section for the kids is amazing. Great staff, great service and AMAZING FOOD! I booked another dinner before I even left.
Food was terrific nice to have a New Mexican restaurant in Engadine, and service was great ! Highly recommend the Sangria 👍Will definitely be going back.
Food and Service awesome and great play area for the kids which will be great in summer will definitely be back very soon and will spread the word
We went to Tejano on the opening night and although there were some minor teething problems, we found the experience fantastic. Great food, especially my Chilli Con Carne. It was different to most other so called Mexican restaurants, and for that reason, we will definitely be going back. Probably next week!
We had a great time dining at Tejano during its first week of operating. Though there were some operational hiccups - to be expected in a first week - the service was exceptionally warm, polite and apologetic for any errors. The atmosphere was great and the decor and setting is wonderful - it's a very inviting space and the variety of seating options is appreciated. Would love to see more bar-style seating towards the front and bigger tables seated closer to the kid's area. Drinks were fantastic - a great selection to accommodate all tastes. We were also impressed with the food - everything was tasty and well-priced. The menu has been done so well - it's great to have options for sharing or individual plates - we did a mix and match and got to try a variety of dishes. This is a great venue for families, couples, groups alike - we will definitely be back. Thanks for having us!
Our family enjoyed a tasty meal at Tejano for our son's 15th birthday. The dips were delicious as were the mains which were also generously sized. I would have preferred some rice with my Chile Con Carne, however, it was still a substantial meal. The fish and chips from the kids menu was just the right size. Would have dinner there again.
service was a bit hectic, meals are very good, love the corn bread.was only the second night open so will get even better as things settle down
The food was good but the service was quite poor. We waited a lot longer than expected to order and receive food which wasn't ours before this was cleared up and we received our meals. Please be aware that this was on the restaurant's opening night. Once they iron out a few things, I'm sure going to the restaurant will be a far better experience.
Grear food and atmosphere. Side plates would help with sharing appetizers neatly. But otherwise a great restaurant, the service was good. . . . . .
