Thai cuisine is a favourite among Sydney diners and at Thai Kanteen on Military Street has been serving it up for more than 18 years. Run by a team of native Thais, you know that the cuisine served up at Thai cuisine is the real deal. Thais believe that the more people sharing a meal the tastier it is and at Thai Kanteen all of the dishes have been designed to be shared, go gather up all of your family or friends and head on over! Chef and owner Anan Inthorn has years of experience, both in school at Suan Dusit College and through working at fine restaurants throughout Thailand. We recommend the coconut lime prawns, the crispy pork belly or the steamed barramundi with ginger, shallot, soy and sesame. To guarantee a table at this Mosman favourite, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
Excellent meal and service! Service was prompt and attentive and our meal was delicious. Only downside was I wish that they would restrict small children. We had a small child seated at the next table who fussed the whole time and was obviously tired (at 6pm). This is not a family style restaurant and when you pay these kind of prices and arrange a baby sitter for your children, you expect to have a quiet meal. Don't think this is too much to ask. I would definitely recommend Thai Kanteen otherwise.
