Very poor food, average setting with no atmosphere. Overall very substandard. I’ve had better chinese takeaways for 1/4 of the price. Don’t waste your time.

Disappointing and confusing would sum up this restaurant. The food was average for big Chinese restaurants. Quality produce adequately prepared to a standard Chinese menu. The service was another story. Confusion and unprefessionalism would define the wait staff. An abundance of staff who meandered aimlessly whilst our drinks went unpoured, dirty dishes uncleared and napkins not delivered. Not worth returning to when there are far better options in the city. Places like Zilver, East Ocean and Phoenix come to mind. Such prime real estate in The Star is wasted on such a lacklustre example of Chinese cuisine.

Live Pippies in Xo Sauce was as amazing as their Golden Century headquarters, perhaps overly efficient service doesn’t leave you alone long enough to enjoy your meal :-)

A nice meal, but really quite expensive. We chose this as we were seeing a show at the Lyric theatre. Lots of staff on the floor, not the most relaxing experience, being surveyed by the wait staff lined up along the wall!

Waiters hovering and rushing us. Not very pleasant, felt pressure to eat and run. Food / wine was very nice but couldn’t relax because of the hovering. 5 dishes didn’t need to come out all at once, they get cold. The price is $$$.

Great food, average service though. Staff were unhelpful at times and language barrier was a little frustrating. Wouldn’t pay that much again for that level of service.

I found the all experience to be a little to rushed, it felt that the waiters where pushing the food quickly to get rid of you . It was my greatest restaurant experience, I would not go back

The food was wonderful however the setting is far from the hype set out in it's website. There's nothing flash about it and certainly no WOW factor. It's a standard Chinese eatery set in the Casino premises with great food. The place was quite drab and boring. It felt as though it was in a temporary place awaiting renovation.

We booked in for Yum Cha on Sunday morning, as advertised on the website. Once we arrived we were advised that there was a yum cha menu but they weren't doing yum cha today. We were the first sitting, and they had run out of Prawn dumplings already, the only dumplings on the menu. The food was fantastic as it always is, however a Father who LOVES yum cha was left feeling dissapointed on Fathers Day, when we could have gone elsewhere had we known in advance.

We arrived at the restaurant and basically got seated on a table that couldn’t fit 6 children on it and shoved in a room with 2 tables that had 20 people on each. Not a good way to start a special night and would think about coming back here again.

The service was impeccable Wide selection of menu options The honey chicken literally melted in your mouth The satay chicken was cooked to perfection, and the satay sauce was light The fried rice needed a little more seasoning I have to say, I have say, it will be difficult to enjoy Chinese food anywhere else now that we've eaten at The Century. Highly recommend

Food was great, service was great, however a little rushed, felt like they were rushing us to get the next sitting on our table! Would go back for the food, and order entree first and say we will order main when we get the entree.

Reasonable variety of dim sums for the yum cha. Service can be improved (missed orders, lengthy periods before dirty dishes are collected etc but still much better than it's sister restaurant in China Town)

Delicious seafood! Made with expert precision! Simply the best Chinese seafood restaurant in Australia. Service is top class. Very respectful waiters and managers. If you take into account the live seafood being prepared with the best ingredients and with the best skills it’s not too expensive. After I eat here I don’t want to eat live seafood elsewhere.

Staff were rude and took our plates away while we were in the middle of eating. They didn't know their wine list when we questioned them on certain wines. You would think that it is important to train your staff on their wine list. food was average

My husband's food was great - I ordered the wrong dish - it was described as broccilli with crab meat. The crab meat was white liquid mush - just awful. Lesson learned for me is to only order dishes that they show photos of. The staff also did their best to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Not very relaxing

We ordered basic Chinese food and it was ok but pricey for what we received. Maybe next time we will order seafood. The tables for two were quite close together so we could hear their conversations! Staff were lovely.

Our group of seven chose from the yum cha menu. Food was prepared freshly for the table .It was a little strange receiving one dish of vegetables and then having to wait ......wait .....wait for the other dishes to be delivered. Food was tasty and good value . We left feeling fulfilled and without feeling as though the food was heavy .

There was nothing gluten free. I had to have the steak which came on a bed of about 4 onions - disgusting and so unsophisticated.... they made a sauce full of cream. I cant have dairy either. Such a disaster.

Excellent quality Chinese Restaurant downstairs at the Star Casino. Lots of fresh seafood options and they do the basics well. Not cheap but quality is good. Gets very busy on weekends in particular so it pays to jump online to secure a booking.
