The Hunter Wine Bar Mosman is a haven for lovers of fine wine. Showcasing the winemakers, as opposed to the brands, is at the heart of this chic Sydney wine bar and you’ll find an extensive array of varietals. So, what can you expect to find on the wine list at The Hunter Wine Bar? As we said above, the focus of this Mosman bar and eatery is on the winemakers and wine community, rather than just the famous brands you’d know. As a result, you can expect to find wine sourced from New Zealand, France, Italy, Argentina and, of course, all the major wine regions in Australia. If white is your preference, we particularly enjoy the Rob Dolan pinot gris from the Yarra Valley; Springvale chardonnay from Freycinet in Tasmania and the Tenuta Maccan pinot grigio sourced from Friuli Grave in Italy. Red lovers will adore the Tim Adams cabernet malbec from the Clare Valley; Mother's Ruin cabernet sauv from the McLaren and the Tomero malbec from Mendoza in Argentina. You’ll also find plenty of rose and sparkling on the menu at The Hunter Wine Bar Sydney, so everyone is more than catered for.
If all this wine has got you excited, why not pair it with some delicious Australian food? For something light, you’ll love the chilli salted popcorn cauliflower served with chipotle mayo; za’atar crumbed beetroot with aioli and the corn fritters topped with tomato chutney. If you’re keen to share, we love The Hunter Wine Bar sizzling prawns and chorizo served with lemon; fish tacos filled with pico de gallo, coriander and smoky aioli; 250g Australian Angus rump with chimichurri sauce and the Moroccan-spiced chicken skewers smothered in tzatziki.
