We had a very pleasant evening at the Mustard Seed. It was a beautiful warm night and we enjoyed sitting outside. The food was very good and the service excellent.
It was Wonderful, very relaxing, delicious food, a great place to have lunch with family and friends. Authentic Indian cuisine in a historical and heritage venue.
As we said, the menu at Mustard Seed is a blend of the old and new in terms of Indian culinary traditions, and you’ll also find regional specialties from all over this exotic subcontinent. Of course no visit to Mustard Seed is complete without indulging in some of their delicious starters to really whet your appetite. Sharing is caring here, and we love going for the Mumbai samosas, of spicy mashed potato, peas and crushed cashews, chicken tikka slow cooked in the tandoor oven with mint yoghurt sauce and the satay kai, with secret Mustard Seed satay sauce that’s a seriously good time.
Not far from the centre of Adelaide, this Hahndorf restaurant is the perfect escape from the craziness of the city. And after your tasty starters, opt for the signature chilli squid served on a bed of salad with rice, dahl and once again, a secret sauce. For the vegetarians, choose from an array of dishes like the paneer tikka masala or malai kofta, and for those carnivorously inclined, go for the lamb vindaloo, but be warned, it’s made with six different types of chillies and has a serious kick. Whatever your choice, Mustard Seed Restaurant is impeccable Indian dining in Hahndorf. Just along Mount Barker Road, half an hour out of Adelaide, book your spot now!
