The Strand Cafe Restaurant

I had an ever growing number of guests for my booking and it was accepted each time without fuss. Handling a table of 19 went super smoothly and the bill splits at the end were he’s professionally. Everyone loved their meals and had a wonderful time.

Service was appalling- 9 meals served over 1 hr. No one ate together, drinks didn’t arrive.

Food was pretty good. A vegetarian order on our table was made incorrectly (with meat) but a replacement meal was quickly cooked and served

Good company enhanced the food experience. My vegetarian pizza was delicious, however, it was the most expensive - I suspect because it was 'vegan'.

One meal was late however free drinks and meal was not charge

Five tables around us who came in after us got their meals before us! - And 1 couple ate and left before we even got our meals!....Still waiting 45mins later!

Service was good without being pushy or rushed all meals out at the same time friendly staff food quality was excellent. Always a great experience at the strand.

Ok but very expensive. For 2 adults and 2 children $150 was over the top.

Booked in for lunch at 12pm on a Saturday for a table of 6 adults & 3 young children. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived however we had to wait roughly an hour for our meals to come out. The children were extremely restless by this point so it would have been good if the kids hot chips had come out quicker. However, the waiters were lovely and the food was great.

Waited for over half an hour with no service. Went to order a drink at the bar and were told it was table service only. Eventually someone came to our table, but it was well over an hour before we received our first drinks. Place was packed, and noisy, but the food was good. To top things off, we were over charged on our bill at the end of the night!

Went for coffee, quick friendly service from the waitress which was good

Great food, great service, bit expensive but worth it. My only word of advice would be not to sit near the front door, as it is alway left open and can get quite cold.

Only disappointing thing was table next to us sat down after us, we had already ordered. They received their meal before us. I asked if ours was close, don’t think it had been started. Total wait time 50 mins, had to go move the car as in 1 hour park.

My calzone was mostly cold and the base not cooked, still doughy in parts. I will not have that again. Not sure I will return, my husbands pasta was ok, but said he won't go back.

Perfect as always. Waitress suggested a dish which I went with and it didn't dissapoint. Even though it was busy you weren't forgotten or made feel like anything was too much trouble

We had a pleasant few hours. The food was average good service nice atmosphere. We had mare spaghetti and crab spaghetti. I feel that the pasta was over cooked the mare was also over cooked. Coffee was left on the counter till I brought attention to the the fact it wasn’t very warm when served and it wasn’t busy for the girl at the counter to be more efficient.

The yummiest food, have never had a bad meal. My favourites are the kangaroo and chicken. It’s always busy, so a tad noisy, but that’s a good thing, better than a quiet restaurant that no one goes to. Great service too 👌🏼
