The owner gave us some extra service because we ate a lot, and it was such an enjoyable meal. While other dishes are delicious too, I highly recommend the 'old-style jjampong' on the menu!

Service is friendly and prompt. Food was average, decent portion size. A combination of korean and japanese cuisine. Atmosphere was OK - no toilet facilities onsite.

Service was not great at all when we wanted to get the disposable chopsticks for the kid, the owner/waiter took it from my husband’s hand and rudely said he does not want us to take the disposable chopsticks, very rude. Foods were not great as well, we have tried ramen and unagi don, don’t understand why the rating so high for this restaurant.

The smell emanating from Tokyo Maki drew me in and I so glad it did. Super friendly staff, quick service and the best Kimchi I’ve eaten. Do yourself a favour and splurge on the green tea ice cream for dessert.

Service and food were fantastic. Vibes were chill, but I was worried that maybe it was quiet because it wasn't a good place. As soon as the food started coming out, I realized it was just a hidden gem. Karaage chicken was to die for, the ramen was fantastic and the braised eel was beautifully tender and juicy. We thoroughly enjoyed everything with the minor thought the chicken the the chicken sushi was maybe a bit too crispy it almost made it hard to eat. Otherwise it was fantastic. Service was fantastic, with both staff friendly and eager to help. One waiter gave us a toy squirter for the soju which was hilarious. Prices were good for the amount of food you got and all came out hot and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

음식의 재료는 굉장히 신선했고 맛은 훌륭했습니다. 우리는 순대볶음과 사시미엔트리를 먹었습니다. 사시미엔트리는 굉장히 신선했고, 순대볶음은 매콤하고 재료도 모두 신선해서 아주 만족하게 식사했습니다. 양념도 너무 맛있고 밸런스도 좋았습니다. 순대국밥도 포장해왔는데 기대됩니다. 그리고 직원과 사장님의 서비스 또한 훌륭했습니다. 우리는 다시 또 방문할 예정입니다

Since they’ve changed the decor and added the new tables with the air vents above them, the vibe of the place has changed. Went from a homely little restaurant for comfort food to something else entirely.

Service is excellent and the staff were so friendly and hospitable! The food was served hot and on time. The atmosphere was quiet so it's good if you want a quiet night's dinner.

The food was yummy, the portions were quite big. And the staff was very friendly. We would go back there when we visit Melbourne again.

Tokyo Maki is excellent every time I’ve visited or ordered takeaway. I’m vegetarian and there’s a great selection, and everything is really tasty with great portion sizes. My partner isn’t vegetarian- he always says how fresh and tasty the sushi and meat dishes are.

Stopped in for lunch and had the Prawn Udon. Great stop for lunch on flinders street. Food was delicious and hot! Highly recommended.
