Wagyu Ya have successfully replicated a typical grill restaurant in Japan in terms of layout, ambience and food quality. There is an extensive variety of premium quality meat cuts and Japanese beer, sake, shochu and whiskey. There is even a separate menu for marble 10+ wagyu which I highly recommend. The desserts are delicate yet have the subtle notes of typical japanese flavours of yuzu and matcha. The staff are very accommodating. Although the price is on the dearer side, it's worth it as this is the standard you receive in Japan. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent Food and friendly service. It's definitely not a cheap feed, however the quality and taste make it absolutely worth the cost. Would not hesitate to go again.

The best beef in Melbourne, best sauces, best kimchi, and best wafu salad. Take cash as you get 5% off At the end, which means more wagyu!

The staff were very accommodating and the food was ridiculously good. Servings were much larger than expected as we came in a group of 5 and ordered the set for 4 but still couldn't finish. Bang for your buck.

Delicious, high quality Japanese food and decent serving size. Their wagyu oyster blade and thin ox tongue is consistently good. Plus, they have the best nasu dengaku in Melbourne. Service is generally quite good. If you go during peak times, the waitstaff can be busy and sometimes doesn't notice you calling them, but they'll eventually get to you and are still courteous.

Excellent food, great service. The salmon maki rolls are always a highlight and a must order. Meat is seriously high quality too. Will come back for sure!

It’s only average, $130/person of valentine’s menu have no wagyu at all which is terrible promotion for a wagyu house! The steak was pretty awful! Other dishes are very average!

Unfortunately was the customer service worst experience ever! From the drinks to the dessert! Quality of food was good, nothing exceptional in rapport of the price we paid! $90 per person with $30 sake, still water, 1 coke and 1 jus, 🤔🤔🤔. We are not understand how is possible to forget drink, plates, child request, sauce, ecc!!!

The dishes were all absolutely amazing. The punch was surprisingly nice too and didn't taste too strong even though we added 4 shots of vodka in. The meat is so soft and just melts in your mouth. Will definitely be back!

Great food - we had the assorted sashimi and wagyu BBQ dishes! Very efficient service - food came out promptly; in fact the only negative feedback being the wait staff were too eager to clear our empty plates once we have finished and they kept doing that 4-5 times throughout our stay there. However, will definitely return!

Sake prices pretty reasonable. But don’t bother to ask the waitress which BBQ beef to order - they tend to point you to the most expensive ones

The lunch bento box was awesome! The shabu shabu was good but a tad salty... would be much better if they cut down on the sauce.

Small and cozy with really delicious good food. The experience is let down a little by fairly indifferent service... there’s little feeling of hospitality and being listened to, and out table interrupted mid-sentence more than once when they wanted to talk. But look past that, the food outweighs the service thing, we’ll go again.
