I have been to this restaurant previously and had a good experience however sadly not on the last 2 occasions. We had booked for 4 (2 adults & 2 children). Our booking was for 6.30. We arrived and were seated upstairs. At 6.55 we had still to be given menus or asked if we would like a drink. There was 1 other table upstairs who were seated when we arrived and we heard them repeatedly asking for their drinks order. Eventually we were given a ripped and tatty menu! They also decided to set the table at this point. We made sure to order quickly due to lack of serving staff. Our starter arrived (but still no drinks) A trio of dips, pretty good. At 7.10 drinks finally arrived however they were missing an adult drink and the children were given bottles of lemonade without glasses or ice, presumably to swig from the bottle (not even straws). Half way through starter we were asked if we would like to have mains, we said Okay, we had not finished starters but given slow service we thought best go with it. The waiter then turns up with an order pad to take our order, we explain we have already ordered. He looks confused. However 5 minutes later our lamb arrives. It’s very good. The mosaka follows 5 minutes later and is luke warm at best. We alert staff, they remove it. 20 minutes later we are told a replacement will be another 5 minutes away as kitchen ‘can’t cope’ We say please cancel, everyone else has finished eating now. Then another member of staff puts it on our table, oh well, we will just eat it. Sadly this was also barely luke warm. I really feel it’s a great shame to have such a beautifully decorated restaurant but such incompetent service. If I am taking my family out for a costly meal I don’t want to sit in an empty upstairs room, next to a stack of plastic high chairs, without music or ambiance and experience poor service. I resent that. I should have cut my losses and left after sitting for 30 minutes without service and taken that as a sign of things to come. I hope this restaurant can sort out the staffing issues as it has so much potential. Our previous experience was on father’s day when we waited close to an hour for our order.

Beautiful interior, the food was authentic and portions generous, the staff a bit hit and miss. Overall, a lovely place for a catch-up!

The place is still good however the management is starting to cut costs by hiring too younger staff. The food is good.

Wonderful staff. Good wine. Food was decent but not groundbreaking. I do recommend the salmon roe whipped dip.
