Absolutely love this place..the food is delicious in a really nice setting, service is great and good value... only problem is trying to choose what to order... it's all so good. Have been here a number of times and never ever been disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere in this restaurant tucked in along Glebe Point Road. Definitely worth a visit. Try the degustation menu. Loved the Haloumi ravioli and the slow cooked lamb.
Great place, excellent food & friendly service. My friend & I had 2 different pasta dishes which were delicious. With those & a starter to share we were still full hours later!
Amazing food. We had the halloumi ravioli, lamb, cauliflower and octopus and was so divine. Lovely intimate setting without being too fancy. Even took leftovers home!
Divine! Highly recommend if you want a restaurant with an impressive menu, mouth watering delicious food, excellent service and relaxed intimate ambiance. Perfect for a date, catch up with friends or spoiling someone who appreciates good food.
We had a party of 8 and although we did not order the banquet we managed to try many of the dishes on the menu. The food was uniformly excellent with a richness of textures and flavours that provided some welcome surprises. The service as usual was friendly and efficient. A favourite haunt of ours in Glebe.
The food was delicious and the service excellent. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. We had the haloumi ravioli, red cabbage salad and the spanakopita with the delicious lemon strudel for dessert. Each dish was tasty and fresh.
Fantastic food and very pleasant and efficient service. I would definitely recommend a visit. We tried the mezze plate and then four mains. Plenty of food for four. the Haloumi Ravioli is spectacular as is the Slow Roasted Lamb.
Great Food, Atmosphere and service. The dishes were generous, unique and delicious, and to top it off Ahgora has some of the friendliest staff ive ever had in Sydney!
Great food and friendly servicie. Slow cooked lamb and roasted cauliflower make a great combination. A hidden gem along Glebe Point Road. Go and see for yourself.
Delicious sharing food in contemporary Greek style, highly recommend the halloumi ravioli. Attentive service without being overbearing. Gets a bit loud with larger groups in the small space.
We had a party of ten for New Year Eve - the food and service was fantastic and it really made our night. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and even better food! The food was fantastic, particularly the lamb (it was divine!). We will be back for sure!
Ahgora is a really nice, fairly up-market dining option in Glebe. We went there for dinner to celebrate a special occasion. It's a share dishes format, which we generally love. It's not a stereotypical Greek menu and the food was great, particularly the haloumi ravioli. The pork belly was nice but a little overdone. The wine list was also decent and service was friendly. We'll be back.
Always a pleasure! The food is always great, the staff is always great. This place is always a pleasure to go to and I always leave feeling satisfied!
Great atmosphere and food. Intimate but also perfect for our group of 10. Shared plates are ideal for a big group. Particular highlights were the lamb and the apple/cucumber salad. Desserts were moreish!
Overall the food was great. The service was good. Friendly people. Good destination. Easy to find. Excellent environment. This is the best Greek restaurant in sydney.
Great food, but unimpressed with the staff. Service was poor and there was a lack of interaction between the servers and the customers. Definitely recommend the octopus.
Great food, pleasant atmosphere and good service. A lovely dining experience to celebrate a special occasion. Couldn't fault this restaurant - would strongly recommend it!
Exceptional food, and anlovely intimate atmosphere. The haloumi is outstanding. Nice wine selection. Friendly staff. I am a coeliac, and the chef was very accommodating. Overall, a great restaurant.
Been there many times and each time is excellent, from the food to the staff. Highly recommended. . . . . . . . .
We booked a table for eight. The food was fantastic and service was excellent as usual. Everyone enjoyed the experience and would go to Aghora again.
beautifully presented tasty food in a very friendly environment. No BYO is it's only drawback but the wine we had was great and not over the top pricing. Generous serves and lively place to celebrate.
Beautiful food. MThe $55 banquet can't be beaten. Highlight was the slow cooked lamb. Service is efficient, attentive but not overbearing. Room can be a bit noisy on busy nights.
Overall the food was delicious. Our favourite was the haloumi ravioli, it was different. The combination of the salty cheese and the sweet dressing was excellent. As with many restaurants the drawback was the noise level, making it difficult to hear each other at our table of four.
Even though is a bit of a small place they were able to accommodate our large group with no problem. Superb service and amazing food! I would definitely recommend it.
Fantastic food and excellent service. The quality and innovative way the food was cooked and presented- the ravioli in particular- was exceptional. Will definitely be back.
Restaurant has a very avant-garde feel. We had a 6-course banquet so food was plentiful and superb. The service very friendly and efficient. Will recommend to others!
Very pleasant experience, great ambience, staff really nice , food was fantastic! We had the six course set menu. Highly recommend the food, and experience of AHGORA!!!
Good restaurant, haloumi ravioli and moussaka both great. Pricing good for area - the $55 meal deal with snacks, three mains, 2 sides and shared dessert is a bargain. Service well intentioned.
Great food and atmosphere. Have been there as a couple and with a group of friends and it is ideal for both. Friendly service. Recommend the chargrilled octopus with the lentils. Absolutely delicious.
Fantastic food, great service, decor and delicious wine. The cauliflower side dish was so tasty, as were the prawns. Would go back in a heartbeat.
A group of us (6 people) met to do our semi annual catch-up, the ambiance was good, the attention from the wait staff was excellent and the food was very tasty and more than enough (we had the banquet menu) - definitely not something that one could rustle up at home - making it a very special occasion!
Great food. Lovely decor. Lacked a bit of a vibe but otherwise would recommend. Portion sizes were good and pricing was competitive. Would return again
The food was delicious - had the ravioli, octopus and the lamb - would recommend all three dishes. Staff were friendly and the a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant.
We had a good experience at Ahgora. Nice atmosphere, interesting menu, good food and good service. Lots of gluten free options on the menu too.
The food and service was great, the only drawback was it was a very busy Friday night (which is understandable) and as a result lots of noise. As we were a small group catching up after a while, we would have liked a quieter space. That aside, it is still one of my favourite restaurants. I will definitely be back.
Great looking food and even better tasting. Host was personable and incredibly inviting, even when we were late to our booking. Family had a great time!
The wait staff were lovely and very attentive but it helps being one of the few people in the place at the time so we had a lot of attention. The food was beautiful, however more modern australian with a flourish of greek, rather than strictly greek which was slightly disappointing. However what was on offer was beautifully cooked, and the portions for sharing were just right.
We shared the haloumi ravioli and the prawns with corn purée, with a size of the cauliflower. Just had room to share a baklava. Beautiful food, great service. Nothing to fault.
Excellent service ambiance and food Great location in inner west Sydney Greek traditional food finely tuned into a subtle sphere of taste, aroma and flavour
G reat a tmosphere, d elicious f ood a nd g reat a nd f riendly s ervice. F avourite d ish h aloumi r avioli.
Excellent, friendly service. Good food. A pleasant change from the "standard" Greek Feast. We had a six course feast and found it was too much food for the two of us.
We had the banquet menu. Entree was good but mains came one by one and we would have liked the mains & sides to come all together. We were 4 of us and the portions were quite small to fill 4 adults. Price was $55pp but not worth it. Included wine but I noticed my bill included a glass of Pinot Noir -???
The banquet is super value and all choices are yummy! The octopus was a stand-out and all accompanied by low key but attentive service. The dessert platter is sensational with the banquet - we wished we had more room for it!
the place is great! Ver nice atmosphare (small and intimate). The staff was super friendly and attentive and food was delicious.... definately come back soon!
