Used to be our favourite restaurant in China town however this visit found our waiter very unfriendly with bad attitude towards customers. 3 people eating and we were given 2 menus. When I politely asked for another menu he answered ' give me a minute' in a sour tone of voice. Peking duck isn't what it used to be. Mainly meat and skin not crispy. Other dishes were bland.

Loved our visit- only feedback was that it felt rushed and we had advised that we were not in a hurry. The service was quick and efficient but this made us feel rushed. For example, we finished our mains and as the waiter cleared the table we were offered dessert/coffee. We declined because we hadn't yet digested our food. With time and less pressure we may have ordered both desserrt and coffee.

Most Amazing food and great service everytime I go there

The food and atmosphere were good. Our complaint was that our server asked us if we had a deadline and we told her that we were attending a show and needed to be out 1 hour and 45 minutes after our arrival. She served our last main course about 10 minutes before show time so we had to skip that course and race to the theatre. Very disappointing.

Fantastic tasty food & great service - a gem of a place

came as it was recommended to us. Our calamari was overcooked and tough to eat, the steak, while tender had sinew which also make it difficult to eat. The flavours were delightful and the service excellent, but don't think the food was value for money.

Quite possibly THE BEST Chinese cuisine we’ve ever had. We had the smaller of the 2 banquets on offer, and we wish we had a main course size of every course. The staff are fantastic and the place looks and feels like a well oiled machine, with minimal/no intrusion on their guests. Thank you Bamboo House! 😁💕

Very accommodating and great restaurant for catching up with work friends

Food was good, but we had the most surly server on the planet. After a certain point he ignored us completely. We waited a long time for the check, after twice indicating that we didn’t want dessert. We had to call the server over to ask for the check. After that, a long wait for him to come and make the payment. We gave up and asked the host to cash us out.

Food excellent had cheaper banquet but plenty of good food. Meal well staggered. Staff were sharp.

Amazing food at an amazing price. It never disappoints. You will walk out full, and satisfied. It’s definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Favourite dishes: salted egg prawn, Peking duck, egg whites with scallops.

Bamboo House is our favourite pre-Christmas restaurant. The service is excellent, food superb and good value for money.
