The server that looked after us was grumpy and made us feel like all requests were too hard! We don't get to go out often as we all have children so we were disappointed to have been treated so rudely. I was the one who suggested this place but will definitely not be going there again. What was supposed to be a great night with family & friends was soured by the service.

Great restaurant lost count of the number of times we have been but on this occasion that waitress although very nice and polite had little knowledge of the menu or drinks menu which was frustrating as we had a visitor with special dietary needs.

Arrogant head waiter - who took delight in trying to publicly humiliate guests - food very average and overpriced! Good waitresses ! Would not recommend going there

Friendly and efficient service coupled with a comfortable setting and great views. Food and the menu are excellent and the drinks menu has something for everybody. Thoroughly recommend it

Food was lovely except the Tiramisu which was predominately cream with zilch cake/biscuit (we were a table of seven, so for only one item to be very average is actually not bad as the rest was great- think we got the corner pieces of the Tiramisu). Great seating, lovely views. Greeted by the lovely Ellis, then served by a very ordinary waitress who did not want to be there. Crossed over the table to take our plates, cleared plates before everyone was finished- she just did not care and never smiled or made an effort. I once did the same type of work and sometimes (especially on NYE or other momentous occassions) I didn't want to be there either but I NEVER EVER gave that away to the patron. It was a shame as it took away from the experience which I personally can live with but wanted the children to truly have a great night (it's not always just about the food).....

We had an enjoyable experience. Friendly staff and great table overlooking the Yarra. The food I had was good- I suggest you check the menu to see if they have food you like. Not a great range for someone like me being gluten sensitive but there was something to enjoy for all four of us.

Great meals, good service. The grandchildren had a great time as a "treat" before the Peter Pan matinee on Saturday. Loved the Miso Salmon... the best meal on the menu.

Very poor service. Pizzas had a truck load of tomato puree, very poor quality. Asked for beetroot salad but had run out at 7pm on a Sunday night!

There was a long delay between placing orders and meals turning up. Three of use ordered the rib eye steak and asked for it to be medium / well done but we all considered the steaks to have been a bit undercooked.

A great dining experience with great service. We had a garlic and cheese pizza for starters followed by mains of lamb backstrap, barramundi, and French chicken washed down with a nice little pinot. Overall costs were very reasonable and plate sizes generous.

Friendly prompt service. Food tasty. Rather noisey, background music could be toned down a bit to converse without having to shout. Lovely views. Great location for tourists.

Had the most beautiful fish I've ever tasted, so perfectly cooked. Chips were golden and crispy, just how I like them. Would go back definitely.

Tasty good priced food and lovely waiters/waitresses. Lovely view of the river. Not too crowded on a Friday lunchtime. The only thing was I would have preferred to get our meals a little more quickly. I only have one hour for lunch.

Friendly unpretentious service. Varied menu that allows you to have something elegant - confit of duck, or something more down to earth - a burger. Well priced wine list

Haven’t been here since Bluetrain was remodelled. Fancy fancy now. Slick. Had four pizzas and chips. Food is 4/5. The cakeage fee for plates and keeping birthday cake cool was pricy (and a surprise).

The food was quite good, although the service was a bit lacklustre. The vibe is not as groovy as the old BTC. Disappointing to find that the advertised “2-for-the-price-of-one cocktails, from 5 till late” offer finished at 8pm. 8 ain’t late, in my book.

The service was okay. But the food was terrible. We waited over 35 minutes for 2 meals. When they arrived, the fish was well over cooked, the other meal was cold except for piping hot chips.

They wouldn't do the nightly special at the table as in fine print it is only for the bar. Tall bar seating is not suitable for group with newborn and pregnant lady. Therefore dinner cost twice as much as it should have.

Great food, location and ambience. Lots of appealing menu items. Food delivery service was a bit slow (explained through trainee chef, on a Tuesday night) but we got to our theatre show without having to gobble food or rush. Menu hard to read (low light and lack of contrast of printed letters against paper background; lots of all capitals). Value for money OK. Definitely recommend booking - people in front of us at 1830 were told no tables and 30 min wait - have a drink at the bar.
