Fast friendly service, great food and steak cooked to perfection. Would recommend this hotel to people looking for a nice environment and great meals.

We loved it!! The restaurant has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, the staff were bubbly and lovely, and the food was very good!! We really enjoyed ourselves! We will definitely be back in the near future!!

Not your average pub . The British has a charm of it's own with the atmosphere maintaining it's history. Our party of 4 chose to dine here on a bleak Winters day the dining area was comfortable. Service was excellent and we felt welcome. We chose the Tapas starters to share and enjoyed it although just know if you don't prefer things a little spicy you may want something else. We loved it. A combination of much of what was on offer on the menu and would gladly repeat the choice. Mains were Scotch fillet from the grill, salt and pepper squid and beef guinness pie. The beef was cooked as ordered, medium rare and served with chat potatoes (did find the potatoes a bit cold so could have been warmer) and served with a mushroom Jus Salads and vegetables are an added extra so don't overlook them. The wine list is reasonably extensive and are at restaurant prices so don't expect them for bottle shop value. Enjoyed the day and would gladly return

I booked for 16 but we ended up with 30 guests in the end. The staff coped well with the large group (the only negative and a really small one is that they forgot to serve us the complimentary bread rolls with our lunch)

Lovely food. Quick efficient service Only complaints ladies toilet had no toilet paper or means of wiping washed hands. Also only one toilet operating. Not good enough for the otherwise excellent experience

The steak was awesome, steamed veggies were great, the red wine jus needed a little work otherwise a 9 1/2 out of 10.

Have been going here for quite some time, food is always excellent. Obviously time for some changes, found staff not as attentive & refined. Food choices not as polished with level of flavours, however still good quality. Still would recommend but not as strongly as previous

Food and drink service was slow. Drops of water fell on my partner due to condensation on the ceiling. Steak was great!

Great food and service. Very reasonably priced too. Great beer garden kept warm during winter months so don’t let the weather put you off sitting in the beer garden at night. Very pleasant and not cold at all considering it was freezing outside the night we went. Well done to the British. We will be back for sure xxx

The food was excellent. The wine we had was very good, but they did not have a bottle of the wine we wanted on their menu. This did not detract from a great night for all twelve guests.

When we first got there the waitress was quite rude to us and did not smile. After that we didn't see her and all other staff where great, friendly and polite.

Hi - I booked a table for 3 on Sunday 7th April. We enjoyed our meal, however there was a big table next to ours with a screaming child which made it hard to hear, but we understand there is not much you can do with a screaming child unless the parent takes them outside for a walk. Also we had one waitress who was rather 'slap dash' in her approach to things. She lacked the finer skills of being a waitress - knocking/bumping us as she put down the food, her manner was abrupt and very unpleasant, however the other waitresses and guy were really good. I had the warm lamb salad and really enjoyed it, my husband had the steak but said he asked for a medium cooked steak but when he got it he found it to be very rare and therefore he did not enjoy it as much. I hope you appreciate our honesty. Its a great spot to have a Sunday lunch.

Went for lunch on a Sunday. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend going there again.
