Caravanserai Turkish Restaurant

Wasn't a huge fan of the food and the atmosphere felt a bit crowded and cheap.

Our family had a great time, with good food, atmosphere and service.

Always a fabulous experience, it is why we always pick to go back there

Haven’t been into Caravanserai for a couple of years but I now live close by. Food was lovely and service was great. It certainly won’t be such a long break between visits next time!

The food was good, portions are big. The restaurant tends to be on the noisier side.

Great food and pleasant decor, let down by its own popularity. The wait for food was excessive, tables served that arrived after us. The staff were extremely busy, meaning that the service was rushed, the staff were stressed and as a result, quite rude. Would come again, if only for the food, in the hope that it would be less busy and the staff more pleasant.

Disappointing food, after it finally arrived.....lacked true middle eastern flavours.....the highlight was the Turkish bread, sensational. Lighting could be improved, it was so dark we could hardly see our food or perhaps it is supposed to be romantic :)

The internet menu was not worded the same as the menu in the restaurant a bit misleading. Not as much variety as before. Could be less expensive. I will say the main I had was amazing chicken Suresh kebab. The dips were overpriced and not that nice as previous times. One was a bit burnt. The main thing is it is very dark in restaurant you need brighter lights at the tables.

We have been visiting your restaurant for decades and always love the service and the food,. We really enjoy introducing people to your restaurant.

The food was excellent and service was attentive and quick. Great atmosphere and consistent quality. Being a BYO was also a bonus. Only drawback was how noisy it was, though this was mainly due to people having a good time and good conversations. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very noisy large table of excited women situated next to us, which made the atmosphere a bit more noisier than I was hoping for (in terms of a nice, quiet, romantic, candle lit dinner), but otherwise it was pretty good. The food was excellent.

Excellent quality food and great value. Only problem is the noise level - with so many people, not sure how you solve that.

I really struggled to see how this food was turkish.

There was an exceptionally noisy table of people who ruined it for everyone else. Why not ask patrons to be a little more subdued for the benefit of everyone in the restaurant.

I’ve been going to Caravansari for olmost 30 years. Every other dining experience has been great. This one wasn’t such. The food was good bet the menu was not and the service, well I just hot the impression they wanted me to eat fast pay and go. I’m not encouraged to return a again.

We were stuck in the front corner at a tiny table on a very hot night with no air flow while other, slightly larger tables near windows were free.

Very nice food and earring environment. Just the restaurant is a bit small since they had large number of Customers. But in general, all good.

We had the main course platter. The food was delicious. The serving size was really big. In fact we could quite finish it. You definitely don’t need an entree with it.

The food was quick to come out but we were pretty much the only people in the restaurant. The food was delicious and well presented. I also felt that we received a good amount. I found the service slightly lacking compared to other restaurants, we were pretty much just left alone and not offered anything else. My partner wanted another drink but each time we tried to wave someone down they must not have seen us so we decided just to leave. I would return and I do recommend other people eat here but just don't expect incredible service.

Fantastic as usual! So much character, food is amazing and all of the staffs are awesome. Have been here for family dinners, date nights, just a casual meal on a Tuesday night, small birthday celebrations, large birthday celebrations, it really just suits all. Would recommend you start and finish with some sneaky Turkish delight as well. Hands down, best Turkish delight ever.

Our group of 12 dined on a Tuesday night to take advantage of the Banquet special. The variety and quality of food was fantastic. As Caravanserai is BYO we brought along bottles of wine and a carton of beer. The staff were very attentive in ensuring that the ice buckets were regularly topped up. It was great night and as usual..we will be back.

Good food, good service. Booking was easy. Only issue is lack of aircon and/or fans - and with a very full restaurant of people enjoying themselves and the food, it gets VERY hot.

Caravanserai has been an old favourite Turkish restaurant and it was a pleasant experience reacquainting ourselves with it after a period of absence. Although the menu had changed since our previous visit, the great food, service and vibe will keep us coming back.

Love the ambiance if the restrarant. I had a vegan meal but it was all vegetables (still hungary) I was surprised there was no felafels on the menu (being turkish). I went here years ago and they use to do dessert platters with a lot more traditional turkish style sweets like pouched pears and nut desserts. I thought it has been made more main stream with cream brulee etc. Personally I would prefer the menu from years ago.

The food is amazingly tasty, the restaurant is relaxed and yes we will be going back again. Tried the Arabic coffee and this was well worth it. Very different but will definitely have again.

Have been here twice now and both times food and service were excellent. Recommend the chicken breast with cous cous. And the bread is wonderful.
