Embers Mezze Bar aims to change your perception about Lebanese cuisine. Situated in a gorgeous Rococo-style building on Oxford Street, this Darlinghurst restaurant offers fresh, boldly flavoured dishes that are ideal for sharing among your tablemates, or simply for enjoying on your own. Embers is known for offering great cocktails – try the Lebanese Delight, a drink made with vodka, white cacao liqueur, rosewater and cranberry juice. The food menu at this Sydney favourite is extensive, and includes everything from carob-glazed beef cheek with freekeh grapes and sheep’s milk labne to scorched ocean trout with spiced tahini and fennel. Embers’ hummus is outstanding too, and comes served with Afghani and sesame breads. For dessert, make sure to try the outstanding tahini and dried persian fig brulee before heading back out into the hustle and bustle of Darlinghurst. Embers Mezze Bar is known to fill up, so book ahead to snag a table.
Embers has great food and good service. I'd go back again. It can get noisy when it fills up though.
Friendly staff and great food. The dips were fantastic and the beer was cold. Recommend the haloumi, and wish I’d had room for the kanafeh!
Great service and great food! A must try modern fusion labanese. Haloumi was my favourite entree and the duck breast is a the star dish!
