Estivo offers food of fine-dining style, but the atmosphere at this popular High Street Italian restaurant is casual, friendly and easy-going in authentic Italian style. Easily accessible by train or car from all over Melbourne and a favourite with Kew locals, Estivo is right at the intersection of High Street and Warrigal Road and she fair hums most of the time, so it’s always wise to make a booking before you go. Once there you can look forward to a delicious spread of Italian dishes, from traditional risottos and pastas to refined mains like confit duck maryland, black angus beef mignon, slow braised beef cheeks and veal scallopini. Of course Estivo offer irresistible tiramisu, honey panna cotta, affogato or a superb selection of cheeses to finish it all off – though few people stop at one visit and you may well find yourself making a beeline back to this little gem.

Food average for the prices charged. Corkage over the top. Little in the way of vegetables unless you paid more. Air con too cold and staff could not or would not fix. Not a great dining experience
Service from two downstairs waitstaff was unfriendly and almost rude. Mains of risotto, cannelloni and rib eye were all below average. Tough grissly meat, watery pasta and risotto. Tap water not even refrigerated. $245 for 4 people, never again.
Enjoyable as we had the room for ourselves and served by friendly &lovely guy. Sorry forgot his name .
