No matter the time of day, Harts Pub on the corner of Sydney’s Essex and Gloucester Streets impresses with their amazing range of food and drinks, snacks and lovely setting. Founded in 2009, this popular CBD establishment was one of the first to offer tasty craft beer well before it became trendy. Boasting all-Australian craft beers, this restaurant cares about the local food scene and brings regional products to the forefront. The bar features 12 different rotating taps which showcase the current beer selection, plus bartenders who know every detail about the ales on offer.
The food menu at Harts Pub is just as impressive as their beverage menu. If you’re with a group, be sure to share a tasty appetiser of beer battered chips, or crunchy waffle fries with bacon salt before moving on to the restaurant’s lengthy list of main courses. Meat lovers are encouraged to try their grain-fed sirloin, pork cutlet with cracklings and the delicious sumac encrusted kangaroo fillet. Not so hungry? Go for one of their light meals or go vegetarian with their incredible veggie burger. Classic Ye Olde Pub in the heart of the Rocks. Excellent selection of beers, one good cider, great pub food, good size portions, good atmosphere
Perfect place on a Friday night - the booking made it easy for us to get a place to seat, the bar wasn't too busy, and the food was lovely.
Great location - between the tourist and business areas. Friendly staff - relaxed, casual vibe - unobtrusive sports channel - decent menu and food at reasonable prices - something for most tastes. Definitely recommend as a casual relaxed easy place to go. Will be back
I enjoyed this as it was close to work and the food was great. It was definitely really busy but i still felt my food was ready within a reasonable time for the capacity.
Had a great evening at Harts Pub, the heritage feel, craft beers, great food and the best trivia in town made it a very pleasant night.
It was a warm Friday night and so the pub was busy and noisy but we'd booked ahead so a table wasn't a problem. The food service was quick and the food was good pub fare. I'd go again but would definitely book ahead on a Friday.
Service was a tad frosty. Excellent beer and Sloppy Joe burger more than made up for it though. Great selection of beers and well kept. Thoroughly recommend it.
This place has been one of my favourites for a long time. Great old pub style venue with a range of ales and some tasty burgers. Friendly staff too, would recommend to anyone!
Food was really really nice. Nice atmosphere and great service. The authentic rocks experience really shines through the pub, I highly recommend the pub for corporate gatherings, farewells and get together s.
Really nice pub. Unfortunately we were there for lunch on a work day, and didn't have too much time. The food took a long time to come out, and we then had to wolf it down quickly to get back to work on time. On the plus side, the food was good.
The food here is always amazing. The poppers and buffalo wings are to die for. The Rye beer that they had on tap was surprising good.
Venue was great, beers were great, food was great other than having to wait for an hour for it. Will come again in the near future
The food and service was great, very friendly staff. The pub itself was an absolute gem, so much history, will definately be going back very soon.
A fantastic selection of beers and warm and friendly staff that were only too happy to help. Lovely and cozy atmosphere. A fantastic place to have a drink and some food.
We went for a quick business lunch. The meal was nice. The chips were great and the contents of the burger was nice. The only issue was that the roll was not toasted and was a little stale.
Great food. Great service. Burgers are so good. Really nice atmosphere too. Decent selection of beers. Very easy to book a table online for sure.
It's an awesome little pub with great vibes and a great place for food and beer. It's quiet enough to have a conversation. Highly recommended.
The staff were friendly and accommadating. The food was good. I had one of the burgers. It was a cool spot on a hot day.
great pub atmosphere with a wide variety of beers and good pub grub. Would be great for a visit with friends as the place is full of charm.
Great pub atmosphere, drinks great , steaks good! Calamari and prawns were too fatty, over cooked and hated the plastic baskets! Very tacky! Our guests from America were VERY disappointed there were no Fish and Chips on the menu and the fish burger was very ordinary!
