We had an 1130am booking. We were asked to order which was done by 12pm. We received our meals at 1240pm and were asked to leave at 1pm. We were rushed. We understand the COVID19 rules; however, we were rushed to order then sat and waited - all to be rushed out the door.

Food took an hour, our table was booked for 5pm and we at close to 6:30pm, which is when they wanted us to vacate the table. They then asked us to leave soon after we'd finished eating, being so close to the next lot of bookings.

Waited a long time for our meal and my steak was well done not the medium rare I ordered.

First visit since Covid 19 & the renovations. We loved the experience food, service, cleanliness-all were terrific

The venue to great. Unfortunately the food and service wasn’t up to standard. We asked for share servings and mains to come out at the same time. It didn’t happen. They got the sauce wrong on one of our meals and the sauce they replaced it with (meant to be pepper sauce) wasn’t edible! When we made mention of it the reply was not what we’d expected either. Hope it lifts because it’s a beautiful new venue.

One of our meals came to our table only Luke warm. We had already waited 1 hour to get our meal. We’ve lived in Elermore Vale for 41 years and have been very frequent patrons to The Shaft. We won’t be in a hurry to go back, which is a shame. Also my husband wasn’t impressed that there were only 2 beers on tap neither of which he likes!!!!

First time visitors following renovation and we were delighted with the experience

Beautiful decor. Mushroom gravy was very watery and only 2 small slithers of mushroom, none or very little dressing on the salad. Under the current covid restrictions there were several things that I thought was an issue.

Go here if you want to be served raw food, cold food, the wrong food, overpriced food or have ingredients missing from your meals. Slow food service is a norm here. We have shown The Shaft Tavern & now the new Hotel Elermore great loyalty over the years with many group bookings & they never fail to disappoint. What a shame.

It was quiet due to covid 19 restrictions. Two out of three meals required critical feedback which was given directly to the staff. However, they were pleasant and helpful so the experience was positive overall.

Waited1hr+formeals. Then asked to leave so they could clean table!

The food was amazing! Service friendly and fast. My three boys demolished their meals before disappearing into the playground which was conveniently located in eyesight of our table (and sheltered from the elements). I would recommend this to any parents wanting to enjoy good food while the kids self entertain. Definitely not your average pub food. The triple cooked pork belly was incredible
