Just Italy - Mentone

Great baked rustic gnocchi, Seafood Linguini and wood fires oven pizzas. Lovely renovation of the historic building with great open atmosphere, and under cover alfresco seating. The restaurant has several levels with very nice space downstairs near the pizza oven, an inviting upstairs area with a lovely bay window and a deck area that is open if you want to see the street scenes unfold. Unfortunately it can be very noisy downstairs as the restaurant is mostly hard surfaces and you can hear the noise of dishes being clashed around, especially if you sit near the bar area . The service is friendly, reminiscent of a family run business. However there is little urgency to keep an eye out for customers, we have been at different times of day and find it’s always very hard and frustrating to get waiter attention.

We were welcomed before we had stepped foot in the door and this continued through out our evening. We celebrated our sons 18th Birthday with family and all the staff made us feel like we were their only customers, which we were not as we could see this restaurant was very popular and buzzing with a wonderful atmosphere. The friendly staff showed extra special attention to the birthday boy which just added to making his night one he enjoyed. Food, drink and staff were all delightful.

Love just Italy , food and service is amazing , Tonino makes the place light up with his amazing personality!

Staff were very friendly, a little squashed in. Noisy but that also can add to the atmosphere.

Great atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. My Calzone could have done with another 10 minutes in the over. Otherwise a top evening with a buzz in the place. Glad that we have this in Mentone.

wine is too expensive. Too cold to sit outdoors as most of it is not sheltered.

Nice food and menu. Service was not fast and my son's meal came out after I finished mine. Meals should come out together.

Food and service was excellent but we were seated in the window with the sun beating through - we had to wear sunglasses during the meal and it was very hot. It is a beautiful venue but excess stock is stacked against a window for all to see which spoils the look - perhaps frosted glass would have been a better option!

Fantastic food, friendly attentive staff & great ambience. Highly recommend.

Had been here 2 weeks earlier and my seafood linguine dish was fabulous. This time I ordered the prawn ravioli in butter sauce. Was supposed to be in a bisque. There was no sauce at all and the dish was flavourless. Will try 1 more time.

Went here for dinner with my wife.. 25mins to have our order taken including drinks. Then waited a further hour and 10mins for our food. We had finished our bottle of red wine before our food arrived, was never asked if we needed another drink. Table of 6 next to us got their food before us and they weren’t even there when we ordered. I get that it is a busy place but maybe need more staff or better staff.

Wonderful food, high quality ingrediences and genuine italian. Friendly service whilst busy. Tables outside were small for four people. Kids enjoyed food. Greater selection on vegan/ vegetarian options welcome. Good value for the quality and ambiente. Great culinary addition to the area.

Unprofessional staff. Extremely slow service. Too expensive for what you get in terms of quality and portion sizes. Won't be going back, which is a shame because the location is great
