Just Italy - Mentone

Enjoyed the night. Can be expensive but I guess that’s about how much you drink!!! 😀 Never think pastas and pizza should be expensive.

Just ok. Booked our group some time ago and we were stuck on a forgotten table outside. Service was friendly but slow and food was a bit average. :(

We were really looking forward to our dinner at Just Italy, I booked early as I'd heard the restaurant is hard to get a table at. It was hard to find your way in, three entrance isn't sufficient with groups hovering half in half out of the door being moved out of the way so they could get ice cream out of a freezer right next to the doorway. Finally we were told to wait for our table, it looks like they had given or table away or didn't have one for us. We waited while Italians walked straight through ushered to their tables. We finally got the smallest table for 4 people outside, luckily the weather wasn't too bad. The meals were okay but we did have a couple of complaints which were dealt with well. Two meals were swordfish which were both lukewarm and not very enjoyable due to the temperature of the meal. One meal was full of shellfish but no bowl was supplied for the empty shells. The meal would have been better presented on a larger plate rather than shoved in to a small bowl as it was hard to eat. My meal was the spinach and ricotta cannelonni with napoli sauce, it was lovely and hot but absolutely smothered with parmesan cheese which overpowered the entire meal. Some parmesan is fine but should be on the side to put on your desired quantity. It got too much taste wise to eat and actually made it unpleasant to eat. I don't think we will be rushing back until they get their act together. The waitress Amelia was lovely and very helpful, it was all beyond her control. I think they have got very busy too quickly and need to iron out some faults before people find other places to go.

Meals came out about 10 minutes apart lasagna wasn’t hot just warm. Comp’d drinks due to meals being so far apart. Didn’t make for a great date

Great service, a good atmosphere and delicious authentic italian food

Nice people. We ordered a bottle of Primitivo, 2 glasses of it turned up but that was the only problem. My friend said her canelloni was salty and dry but still edible. My meal was fine.

Have eaten here twice now and the food is absolutely delicious! Very authentic Italian. Staff are friendly, helpful and Italian! Love love it

Service was very slow had to ask all the time for service Seemed not enough staff as the restaurant was very busy

Shown to our table quickly, took a while for our order to be taken but they were quite busy. Drinks came quite quickly after that, meals came out staggered. Size of two of the meals were on the small size, mine was cold and overloaded with ricotta, the seafood special was a hit though.

Entree of bruschetta - fresh and very tasty. We had a spinach and ricotta Canelloni and the seafood pasta of the day. Both were excellent. We will be back!

Food was great. Very noisy & very under staffed!! Sat waiting a considerable time to flag someone down to ask for more water & order dessert.

Very disappointed, staff need to be more attentive, don’t advertise kitchen open until 11pm on Saturdays & close the kitchen at 10.00.
