Just Italy - Mentone

Called in for quick bite with our family on Xmas eve and everything from the service, food and atmosphere was good. Great to have a place like this in Mentone that offers a range of options

Great service, and lovely food! So nice to see Mentone have a decent restaurant!

The staff were attentive at first but then seemed to get very busy, very quickly. We were upstairs and the noise level was very loud, that is not saying that our 4 children were not contributing to the noise, because they were. Request for a highchair was very slow which did not help with the children's mood. All in all, I would like to try it again without children. Food was OK, drinks expensive, food service good.

Service was great, staff were Very prompt and readily available when we were ready to order. Waiting times were basically non existent! All in all a great place to go out.

Great atmosphere and the interior is very attractive. The staff were very friendly and they were always checking and making sure that we were happy with the food and needs. We will certainly visit again as we live locally.

I made a booking 2-3 weeks out. I called before the booking and asked to be inside due to the heat. We were still put upstairs and every one up there was fanning themselves down. It was hard to enjoy the food. The noise level was terrible. We ordered the tomato and basil and prosciutto bruchette however we were given ham and cheese. When I questioned it to the waitress i was told it was prosciutto, it most definitely was not. The gnocchi and pizza was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back but would hope it is a nicer evening!

It was ok and I'll give the restaurant another go. But I wouldn't order the calamari salad again!

Food was great. Had to wait for seating having booked but were provided drinks that they didn't charge at the end of the night. Service was friendly but a little understaffed.

Had a lovely meal with friends. Food was ok . We all ordered a variety of lasagnas. Interesting when they came out only the vegetarian had a side salad. Two of us then ordered a bowl of salad to share. You wld think at $20 you’d get some greens! Wine and gelato was great. It is ‘intimate’ seating as we were very close to other tables. It can get very noisey and difficult for hearing conversation. We were seated Kilbreda side under the glass and was it hot wiv the sun streaming thru’. Eventually aircon went on. Hate to be sitting there this week when it hits 35 and 41C!! Need to hav pull down blinds. Will go back to try out arvo tea or brunch. Definitely an asset to Mentone to make it lively - has been dead for years - spoken by a Mentone born and raised resident!!!😉

Booked it through you guys with the a request for downstairs , as my wife was recovering from a broken ankle . We arrived , couldn’t find the booking.They located a table , unset and in direct sunlight! We had booked some days in advance ! THE wine prices were outrageous, and supposedly imported (a Sydney address) Food -dry

Beautiful food and coffee, great atmosphere and service. Just what Mentone needed.

It was first time at Just Italy and can't wait to go back. The food was traditional and the service 👌👍

$89 for a bottle of domain Chandon nv is outrageous , pizza was ok but the rest of the mains were average and small!

Good food, was fairly new so will only get better

As a group of six we went here for lunch to celebrate my birthday. Initially we were seated outside but after asking to move indoors they quickly accommodated us. Great portion sizes, the food was lovely and even the coffee got the thumbs up from a couple of our guests. We we’ll be going back.

The food and service was great. They served drinks and starters and took main order so not rushed at all. Lovely pizza and pasta. My only concern was we were sat upstairs and as the sun was setting my friend had it in her eyes. There needs to be blinds up that can be used during sunset as was unpleasant for her. It was very busy and tables were very close together which resulted in a very loud environment. I would go back as food and service was good but would want to sit outdoors for more space and less noise.

We enjoyed it. However, The wine was pricey & not enough choice. More Chardonnay options would be good. Food was very nice. We will come back.
