Excellent restaurant. So many menu are very good. Sashimi, icecream and dessert is so tasty. I recommended to my friends. River view is so good as well.
Food quality and spread improved a lot. Sashimi slices are proper sashimi slices and not off cuts, good range of cooked, P food, sashimi, sushi and very good range of desserts. Slight negative- slow and small eaters get stressed out by time restriction and especially when we love to take pics . Beautiful location.the empty plates were cleared with pleasant smiles .
Food was cold and when we arrived at 6:45pm. Selection was great and would have been great if got. Desserts a great and the staff was extremely friendly! We might try it again someday
the freshness of the foods are excellent. The pots are a bite small other that I enjoy the foods. There are a good selection of foods.
Lovely setting and views - make sure you request a seat near the window or private Japanese tatami styled rooms for a more traditional experience! Quality food and great selection!
Great experience. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. The location is so lovely overlooking the water and the staff were so helpful...highly recommend
It's food variety are not much on the table. Service is average, food taste average but the location is the only best place for dinner.
I was very disappointed about the hotpot menu, and the waitress was not helpful. Only 2 slices of raw beef were provided for my family of 4. We went there just for the hotpot.
The manager doesn't have a smile on her face. Not the first time we've experienced that, staff was really good though. Somehow we can feel the tremble of the ground as people walk pass us. Rather unsafe feeling especially being on top of the waters. Food choices have increased since we last visited but no oysters which was one of the highlights of the meal. They also left the steamboat pots on the dining tables that were meant for dinner. Cramping the dining table.
Larger pieces of salmon sashimi this time round. The selection of food has improved a lot from a few months ago and is really good now.
Average foods with great view. It could easily be a great restaurant should they want to put more effort on the foods and service. Worth trying though
Good variety of food. Premium choices. Well decorated and very nice restaurant. Good location, excellent Swan River view and ambience. Just a bit congested to move around
Great restaurant. It's my second time having meal there. People are friendly and the food are good. Definitely I will go there again when I'm in Perth.
Very nice restaurant, with great food. Very good value for all you can eat sushi and other Japanese style cuisine. Good mains and dessert. Would recommend for anyone.
Beautifully presented and scrumptious food, wonderful and friendly staff creating a great atmosphere. There was a lovely view of the swan river and very nice decor and setting.
They did not have enough sashimi prepared on the table for costomers n had to ask for it. Other than that everything else was ok.
Fantastic food! Value for money! Great atmosphere and scenery! Very good service. A great variety of choices for cuisine and lots of choices for desert too. We go there quite often.
had a great experience. good spread and plenty of choices. i love the ramen/noodle bar and the oden section. waitstaffs were attentive. view was lovely.
Great food but the service is terrible. It's so hard to get a drink. When your paying that amount of money for a meal, you should be regularly offered drinks. Not once in 3 hours
The atmosphere is alright. Although is a Friday evening they seem can't fill the place up during dinner time which kind of weird. Found out the sashimi station is empty with only few place of squid left while the chef is only getting around another 6 plates of salmon refill. The miso seafood seafood soup which is super salty while the herbal chicken soup was served without any chicken meat in the bowl with just bone left in the there.
Very nice dinning experience Plenty of choices to choose from Diners won't go hungry Service was very good The procesco is the best Plenty of choice for desert and you can take your time to enjoy
Only things worth money were oyster and prawn. All the others were disapointing and staff wasn't really good at there job. Odered a gin but tasted like water. Even there weren't much of customers, they set the table only one side, so it was too noisy while more than half of tables were empty.
We went there mainly because we had heard about it and wanted to see for ourselves and share in the experience. We were not disappointed. The range of food available was exceptional and overall the quality was good. It took us awhile to understand how things worked and it would have been much better if perhaps some kind of handout had been available explaining to new incoming diners how thing worked. We did research it online, but once again it was light on for detail. The greeting and serving team members were just great...nothing was to much trouble. Overall, a positive experience.
Food wasn't too good. Not worth the price. The only thing that's worth talking about is selection of their desserts. The services was friendly and attentive.
Food was great. Took 4 friends who had never been there before, and all enjoyed it. Minor problem - it took a long time to replenish a bottle of tap water.
Great location, Beautiful Swan river view on all angle of the restaurant. Service was excellent. but food was average. I was expecting more fine cuisine and authentic Japanese Cuisine. I was a bit disappointed.
I have been a few times for lunch but not dinner. Service was bad. No one came to ask us whether we want to order any drinks. My friend husband have to walk to the counter to order or drinks. We booked for 7.30pm and when we sat down the waiter told us that we only can dine for 2hours ???. I asked what time they close he say depends. But they actually close at 9.30pm. About 9.15pm they start informing us that the food station will close soon. The chawamushi was so dry and there was about 4pcs of duck sitting on the chopping looking so dry and no meat at all and the chef wanted to serve me when there was a whole duck there. I insisted to chop me a fresh ones with meat. Was very disappointed it's cost so much more than lunch and we got this kind of service and food standards I felt so embarrassed because I recommended my friends to go there
Went for lunch and very disappointed, got food was not hot at all, warm and dry, seafood was over cooked and just disgusting as no flavour at all just over cooked & tasteless. Came for a family birthday and embarrassed as it was not as good as last time we visisted for dinner. Service was shocking as the waitress cleared our table she had put dirty plates down Made a pile of food scraps while clearing all on our table, now I'm sure we did not want to be eating our food whilst dirty plates are placed on our table and being cleared. Very hard to get service just to order more drinks. Paid over $300 just for a disappointing lunch. Only good was the shashimi salmon and the sake. Not sure if il ever come back for lunch maybe dinner hopefully better service and food for dinner.
Very nice fresh food and great selection of desserts. Staff are polite, venue is clean and view is lovely. They are quite serious about their 1.5 HR eating time limit.
Laputa has a great selection of food; cold, hot and dessert. I think this is the best Japanese buffet in Perth. We booked a few weeks ago and got the best table in the restaurant. The service is prompt and attentive but it will be perfect if the ladies smile more.
We had a very enjoyable lunch, with wonderful views. Maybe a but more information about the dishes? My friend has a crustacean allergy and was unsure.
At 85pp doesn't justify the chef being stingy serving the duck, and theres not alot of variety.Seems you paying for views rather than the food.
hope laputa can provide more kind of fruits, and the seafood can be more fresh. The hot pot is quite well, I really enjoy it.
It was my first time there, and Not only was the service great , but also the food was delicious. I would recommend it !
Good location and Great selection of food. The desserts are great and good atmosphere. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their friendly service and foods at Laputa
The Japanese salad was great. Dessert satisfactory. Main dishes didn't have any special flavour. They either taste oily or floury. The fried fish, tempura, and squid were moist and soft not crispy at all. The steam rice and fried rice were overcooked to burnt. The hotpot soup or flavouring didn't have any special flavour. We went for dinner, there weren't a lot of variety as compared to their lunch menu. Might as well go to their lunch. Their overpricing it considering the variety is less and the taste was just ok. We have been there last August, instead of improving looks like their having problems.
The food was average but my only concern was that the workers do not smile and I find this uncomfortable. They need to be more pro active. During my experience I really got annoy with the worker cause they were shocking in regards to their attitude. My advice don't work in customer service if you don't like it!
Great huge variety of food and very quick and helpful service, highly recommend
It was a great experience dining with Laputa restaurant. Food is excellent specially with the sea foods and variety of desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Customer service needs improvement especially at front reception to welcome arriving guests and staff are not friendly over all. Replenishment of food should be quicker at buffet.
