Another terrific Indian meal at Last Train to Bombay! Friendly and efficient service.
Amazing food best Indian restaurant in Sydney!!!! Staff always so friendly and great prices also
Midweek dinner with 2 friends. Very relaxed, quiet atmosphere as it only had a couple of other tables. Delicious food - we had the Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, Vegetable Paratha plus the Kashmiri Pulao rice - all were outstanding. Will definitely visit again.
Excellent food , especially to okra. Very friendly and helpful staff
Lovely meal and good service as usual! Always worth a visit.
Last train the Bombay is a fabulous little restaurant. Try he food is very special and very consistently good. Strongly recommend
They were down a wait-staff member, but the young lady explained that and we didn't really notice. She was great. The food was excellent too. An enjoyable experience.
Both the food and service was excellent. Very extensive menu too
Food and service was great, as usual! Service was prompt and friendly!!
great food, good friendly service, the proprietor took an interest in us introducing himself and being welcoming !
The food was excellent . We are used to eating Indian food. And we felt the dishes were authentic and reasonably priced. We will go back again

Excellent dining experience with highly attentive staff. Food, atmosphere & service was fabulous & cosy for a group of 14. Waiter was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable with cuisine culinary & prompt with serving scrumptious dishes.
A nice restaurant with a slightly underwhelming atmosphere made up for by attentive but not overbearing, courteous and friendly service. The food was superb with a sumptuous array of flavours with emphasis on flavour and texture rather than spicy heat and quantity. Priced appropriately, I left feeling I'd received good value. Overall an enjoyable evening - we'll be back!
Great meal of the authentic tastes of India. The staff so genuine and caring. Our favourites the Chaat and the Kerala prawns. And the Indian sweets!
Food was fine, service terrible. It was like Faulty Towers! Waitress brought a bottle of wine when we asked for a glass, then brought a fish dish when we had ordered prawns. Didn’t offer to rectify...asked if we were ok with the fish even thought it was wrong. Couldn’t be bothered waiting any longer so just ate it. Won’t be back!
The best Indian food I've had in Australia! You can taste that it's been made with quality ingredients and is not over oily. It's a BYO wine which is always better, and there's a bottleshop across the road. The customer service was exceptional. The bathrooms were clean too. 11 min walk from st leonards station.
A very pleasant dining experience. The dishes are interesting, not just the standard Indian fare, with several chef's specialties. We had the Murgh Malai Tikka, Handi Gosht Korma, and the Shiraz Balti Pepper Lamb. All very good. Service and atmosphere are also pleasing. We will return again to try more.
Food was great but twice they forgot to bring things ordered - water and Raita. It wasn’t busy so a bit surprised they forgot these and had to be asked twice. The waitress was the good perhaps the owner thinking about other things.
One of the most authentic Indian restaurants i have visited. The spice level was just right and the meat was so soft and tender. The dessert was authentic as well
did not stay . my invited guest was held up . we will be back next week. no problems since we generaly love the restaurant
Food was great but the restaurant was very noisy I think they need some carpet and curtains to absorb the high levels of noise when busy.
Food was delicious. Had the Tandoori Chicken and Aloo Bonda to start both were really tasty. Chicken Chettinad and Nehari Gosht for main. Naans were delicious and buttery.
The non-vegetarian Thali was awesome and good value, highly recommend! The Thali include chicken, lamb dish company by two vegetarian dish like chickpea, and lentils, a dessert , pickled lime, naan and rice
Dinner at Last Train To Bombay was a good experience. The food is not the usual "run of the mill" standard Indian dishes you get as the generic Indian cuisine in most, if not all, the suburban Indian restaurants and "take- aways". The spicy dishes were just that, piquant with flavour but not over-powering. Furthermore, the variety offered was pleasing. A couple of minor negatives:- For a Saturday night (8:30 pm) the restaurant was relatively empty with only about half a dozen tables occupied. The service was only about 7/10 which was disappointing under the circumstances. The roti was good, but cold when served. I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times some years ago and my recent experience fell far short of my expectations built upon my earlier experiences which, not to put too fine a point on it, were fabulous. I do not know whether I shall dine there again.
Bad food. Wouldn't recommend curry came without meat just bones and vegetarian dumplings tasted like they had been pre-made days earlier and were rancid. Service was acceptable only because the restaurant was empty
Food and Service are always excellent. Great variety of dishes to chide from. Staff are always friendly and offer suggestions on different dishes to try. Highly Recommended.
The service was prompt, courteous and good! The food was very nice and tasty, with plenty to go around and there are plenty of choices.
Goat curry goan fish curry palak paneer Naan. Not as subrle as usual . Goat was gristly .less fish and more curry than usual cubes of cheeses too large and not well cooked
