Milky Lane - Newcastle

I’ve been to 3 ML restaurants. I found the venue at Newcastle was the best I had been to however the food was the poorest, was not as tasty or presented as well as the Sydney stores.

Very fast, great service. Food and cocktails are delicious, price adds up quickly.

Nice Interior friendly staff but over priced small burgers family of 4 dined cost $120 for burgers drinks and one entree to share. Our local hamburger shop is better value for what you get, kids wanted to go for novelty of going but won’t be back in a hurry.

Service was exceptional and my favourite part. Staff were lovely and always quick to our table and quick to clear plates. Food service was also super quick which was amazing. Overall it was very noisy, BUT we had a screaming 11 month old baby so the noise muffled out our child which suited us and so we didn't feel bad for ruining other peoples meal with our disgruntled child LOL! I found all the food very greasy which wasn't really my kind of food but overall it was still a nice meal.

Absolutely amazing. Can not wait to come back. Service was fantastic. Very friendly staff, delicious food. What more can you ask for!?

This was our second visit, the venue was full but Service was exceptional & all drinks + food were served quickly.

Milky Lane was excellent! It was only noisy because it was so busy but that means the restaurant is doing well, so can't really fault it there!

It’s a cool atmosphere but it was so busy they forgot our loaded cheese fries and we were long finished with our burgers by the time it came out. The burgers were good but nothing special. With two other burger places within a block radius, I would choose Newy Burger Co. or Rascals over going back to Milky Lane.

Great burgers with great atmosphere. The wait staff were a little unsure of “specials” and certain beers but understandable due to being a new establishment.

The world I live in, when you order a burger it comes with chips. We were not told about this. The wine was not even a standard drink. I paid $10 for maybe half a standard drink. Won’t be back.

The whole mood and setting is as if we are at a night club. There’s drunk people yelling and carrying on, the DJ and the music are so loud we have to yell our order at the staff multiple times due to the volume. We requested our meal to be to go instead of seating in because the music was too loud, they offered to turn it down but when the information was relayed through the owner to the DJ nothing changed. We enjoyed our meal very much, but in the fort and quiet of home instead of this club type setting

All the food was great, the beer selection was fine, however we had to ask multiple times to get our beers to the table on multiple occasions.

Food was delicious .. although it took an hour for 2 starters and some water .. while everyone around us including people who came after us were getting served .. once the food came it was good!

We were 15 mins early for our reservation BUT happy to wait however the waiter at the front desk appeared as though this was an inconvenience to him personally he did seat us early but made it very clear that we were taking someone else table and that we "had to be finished and out of the spot by 3:50pm". This would not have been a problem, although the order was taken very promptly and drinks came straight out within minutes it took almost 45mins for us to get our food! at no stage were we offered more drinks and we were only tended to when a female waitress noticed we had not yet received our food and were getting frustrated as we were watching tables that had been seated well after us receiving their orders well before us. I believe that our ordered has been missed or forgotten as our food came within minutes of the waitresses inquiry of the kitchen. There was NO issues with the food it was hot and made to the way we had ordered it, but again we were left to it and even after finishing the meal no one attended to offer more drinks or desserts and we had to call a young male waiter as he passed (he also for got us) and rushed back once he remembered we had requested additional items at this stage we were feeling pressured to vacate the table as it was 3:50pm. We finished our desserts as quickly and asked for a bill which we did not get so headed to the desk to pay. Our order consisted of 4 burgers 1 kids meal, 3 side, 3 desserts and 5 drinks (no alcohol) and the bill was just over $170 which seems quite steep for the above mentioned but it is what it is and we were aware of costs at the time of ordering. I believe that the large bill would have been easier to take in the event the service was substantially better.

The burgers were bigger than expected, the bueno mocktail was amazing (not too sweet but still a must try for choc lovers!), and the service was friendly! Overall a great place. Would visit again!

45 min wait for burgers is a bit long. When they came out some of them were cold. Looks like the kitchen is not organised yet.

The atmosphere was cool but the music was too loud! It’s a restaurant not a night club and it was frustrating having to yell across the table. They had no desserts (?!) or mega milkshakes and the food took ages to arrive with the sides arriving well after the mains. The food was nice but expensive for what it was. $5 for water?! My burger arrived cold.

Was attempted to be chardged $5 for table water which we didn’t drink. FB photos on milkylane were not for all moly lanes which was a bit disappointing. Frozen rickordalig slushie was on the menu in the shop but was told not available till summer.

Great we really enjoyed our experience and we will be back!

Food was tasty but we had to ask for someone to come take out order after 30 minutes of arriving and having drink orders taken. and then once we finished eating we were basically pushed out the door. No offer of other drinks/desserts etc

Overall everything was lovely. The staff kept saying they had trouble hearing our orders as the music was to loud so maybe that needs to be fixed.

The overall atmosphere was great, however, would have preferred the shake/cocktail options as indicated on social media pages. Was not given the specials for the month, nor really any interactions with staff.
