The food was delicious especially the passionfruit soufflé. The atmosphere was very loud due to giant group taking up most of the restaurant so several people ended up leaving or sitting outside. If I knew that there was such a massive group I probably wouldn’t have booked but it’s not really the restaurants fault I guess. I’m just old.

Such a quaint French restaurant. Chairs and tables spaced nicely, so patrons are not packed in like sardines 🫢 Good healthy food - no seed oils used, with a menu that would suit all palettes. Great value meal combos offered. Highly recommend Monte.

Delicious food and wonderful service. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The linguine was the standout. The soufflé was also divine.

Food was excellent. There was a solid variety of entrees and mains. Kids menu was very well receieved. Flavours divine. Service was impeccable. Shame some other guests brought along their sick son who coughed constantly. One of the hazards of dining out!

We had a family dinner The meals were delicious with Different flavers I had the king fish as an entree it was very tasty and refreshing had the duck for main and not to forget the desert to die for Highly recommended

What a brilliant local restaurant in Leichhardt. Monte never fails to deliver excellent food and friendly service. The kingfish ceviche is a highlight as is the whole menu. The wine list is both interesting and affordable and BYO wine is welcomed except on Friday and Saturday. There is ample parking. But the food is the star. Just come for the food!!

Monte is the best! Whether it’s a special occasion or a weeknight dinner, the food is consistently delicious and the service wonderful. Well thought out menu and so reasonably priced as well.

We love French food and tried Monte for the first time recently. The location opposite a park was great, the restaurant interior and friendly staff were welcoming. My fussy husband was very happy with the wine selection. We shared delicious, perfectly cooked scallops and then had the duck and a chicken pithivier, with sides of fries and beans, all were truly French, flawless and delightful. We look forward to dinner again soon and trying the cafe area for lunch.

Monte is my go-to restaurant as I know the service and the food is great.

Everything worked as it should. BYO wine is a requirement for our group, and we are happy to come at quieter times.

Consistently great food that tastes awesome every time we go

Good food, French influence, decent wine list. Service could improve, things like the side Salad we ordered did not come with the Main meal ( I cancelled it, think they forgot) warm olives and bread starters, bread came 15mins before olives, olives were cold ,again think waitress forgot them and brought them out when she remembered. All considered we enjoyed our lunch.

Service was poor. Food portions were small. After ordering entrees and mains we were told that deserts would take too long and we could only have something easy. I don’t often give negative reviews but in this case I believe it is warranted.
