Montezuma's - Capalaba

Our whole family usually loves Montezumas but we were a little disappointed. The refrained beans lacked seasoning and had no flavor at all.

We got there early-5.30 so service was good then, but they got too busy for the amount of staff they had. I could only see 2 out back and 2 at front and it just wasn’t enough.

Enjoyed the experience of the restaurant. Would go again sometime

I went in with a group of friends last Friday evening. The booking was no problem, and when the 5 of us arrived there was no waiting time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The meals were stunning and the restaurant was clean. Thanks everyone

Would not accept the right number of Entertainment Book vouchers. We had two vouchers for 4 people and they said their policy was only one which is incorrect to Entertainment Book rules of use. So ended up costing a lot more than it should’ve.

Waiting time not happy a very long wait. The food it’s not bad wort it for the price. The chicken that my wife and sister-in-law ordered they enjoyed it it’s nice taste.

Waited 45minutes for our entree , asked waitress to check, said sorry just coming out now. How long can 3 dips and corn chips take😡????? Apparently it was forgotten, then 5 minutes later our mains came out. So still eating entree and mains are served. Love their food but very dissapointed.

The food was nowhere near up to scratch. I’ve been coming to this montezumas for 20+ years and tonight’s meal was enough to make me not want to go back. Really sad guys

Didn't matter what I asked of the waitress, she was always very obliging.

We were greeted with a smile. We were attended to promptly. Our meals were served in just under 20 minutes & our meals were delicious! We tried different items from the menu to last time we dined there. Thank you Montezuma's for another great meal!

We love Montezuma’s and go frequently. The food is amazing and staff are friendly. They did forget to bring out our dip this time, however they gave my son extra birthday ice cream which he loved. We Will definitely be going back again & again

Service great, the bean dip was boring, and my beef & chicken tacos tasted like fish sauce. Rather unedible, they offered to replace but I had run out of time. Normally I order the Durango with 4x sauces, but only sauce offerings now are 1x and 5x. Normally excellent combo. Need more varieties between 1x and 5 x. Why change the sauce when it was fantastic ..... ...

My son and I had Chicken Nachos which I have every week however this week there was a different taste to usual. Seemed like store bought corn chips were used which is a completely different to the usual. However the food is always great quality and meal sizes very generous.

Service was a little slow but staff were friendly and food was nice and fresh. Good selection of of food options and drinks. Good atmosphere

Lovely meal feeling good mellow and relaxed. Service was timely and table was clean. Restauant was pleasant and our table enabled us to have easy conversation without distraction. Very enjoyable.

Terrible service, got meal wrong and drinks slow. 1 person on th floor is not adequate for a restaurant this size. I guess it’s changed owners and definitely not the same as it used to be!

Good food, good service and quick. The restaurant was well decorated and clean. The food was delicious, fresh and tasty. What more could you ask for!

The service was very slow. The meals had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. We asked for a drinks menu and it took forty minutes to receive one

Disappointed with food and service. We were 2nd in the restaurant and it took forever for dips, mains and desert to come out. We nearly left before deserts as it was taking forever. The dips have barely anly flavour and the refried bean dip had hard bits through it. The mains looked like they had been baked in the oven and the plates were very hot, and there was added lettuce on one of the boiling hot plates. The rice was burnt and dry and overcooked to the point of it being like eating raw rice. Still very bland on the flavours. Desert was ok although it would have been better to serve the churros with cream for dipping instead of ice cream. All and all a very disappointing birthday dinner and with more and more good quality Mexican restaurants opening up, I think we will give this one a miss in the future. I wish I could've given a different review but it is what it is.....

Excellent meal and excellent service. In the past the service has been extremely slow so I am pleased that this has improved. Good value as $25 birthday celebration gave you a margarita and enchilada. Thank you.

Service was chaotic and food below par. In fairness though, we were told that there was a lot of new staff working. .Felt that the meals weren't exactly as described.

We were very disappointed. compared to the previous visit. The service was not good and we felt the food was no where up to the stans=dard from the previous visit.

Left after waiting an hour and a half for food that never arrived. Staff were not attentive. After we asked staff for explanation, told that food was coming out but we just saw other tables being served so we left to go to another restaurant. If there was a mix up or delay, that would have been understandable if the staff had come to our table and explained and apologised but no such service unfortunately.

Food was great, staff friendly but could do with a few more waitstaff as they didnt have many and they were rushed off their feet

We felt that the meal quality and quantity has decreased since last time but the prices keep creeping up. If I owned such a cool restaurant, (you've gone to so much trouble decorating your beautiful restaurants with those large parrots on their swings) as Montezuma's I would want to see every chair with a bum on it... 6-7 days a week. Mexican food is relatively cheap compared to other mid range restaurants that offer eye fillet steak for example. For 3 adults who pay $25 each (without including one drink nor one dessert) I feel that $75 (my partner had to have an entree to bring the price down) is a rip-off considering I was still hungry when I walked out. You can't do this. You must bring back those mountain high salads that filled our plates or alternatively get the prices down for every meal and your restaurant will be full of patrons who will, by word-of-mouth get the message out that Montezuma's Capalabla is the place to be. Everyone will be raving about it. We won't be returning as we can't see value for money.

Great customer service. food was good although meal sizes have changed since I last went. Atmosphere of the place was great will go again soon

Excellent, friendly service. Absolutely beautiful foods, we had a mix of a few types of Mexican foods, swallowed down with a carafe of Sangria. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

best mexican around! awesome cocktail selection and the salad and enchiladas are too die for! would highly recommended. the service was outstanding too. its our go to family dinner night out.

We had a great meal. Lots of choices on the extensive menu. Especially love the churros and sangria. Nice atmosphere and service was good. Recommend.
