A welcome addition to Sydney’s South Asian restaurant landscape, Not Just Curries is built – as the name would suggest – upon a mission to dispel the myth that Indian food is , well, just curry. Embracing the diverse and ancient culinary practices of the Indian subcontinent, Not Just Curries is headquartered in Sydney’s Harris Park and espouses Ayurvedic principles in the kitchen. There are over 300 ways to use a potato in Indian cuisine, and any good Asian supermarket will probably have at least 30 different curry powders or masala on the shelves. Needless to say this restaurant boasts a menu that reflects this diversity. Five-star chefs and business owners Vivek Gulati, Digvijay Ranawat and Deepanshu Gambhir have created an oasis for lovers of Indian food at their Wigram Street restaurant – be sure to book if you want a table.
