Every thing was great but restaurant was packed so the noise level was so high we couldn't even hear each other.

Half of the wait staff were rude and had little personality, didn't smile. There was a table behind us where the children were incredibly loud and throwing paper planes.. the staff did not ask them to stop. The vegetable and prawn gyozas were mushy. Apart from that the food was nice as per usual

Restaurant was dirty. Floors, tables snd windows greasy. We had to ask for basic things like serviettes and utensils. Eftpos machine wasn’t working on a busy Saturday night. We had a large group and disappointed.

We were booked for 1st service of the night. Girl takes our order but food took too long to come out. While waiting another girl takes our order (we repeated and told her what we previously didn’t receive) food that was ordered 45mins-1hr ago comes out double. We eventually told them to stop any orders. Even though this is my local okami, I prefer Frankston. Food was delicious but communication between staff not that great

Service was friendly but rather slow. We were served after other tables that were seated before us despite being ready to order. Our first round of dishes came promptly, but the steamed vegetables dish did not arrive. We had finished all dishes and were left sitting for about ten minutes before being approached to order again. The first dish in this second round, chicken katsu, came quite quickly but was quite small for our party of 3 and was rather overcooked with very dark breading. We then waited at least ten minutes before any other dishes arrived. The Yakiniku beef was flavourless and the sauce was watery - not nearly as delicious as what we expect at Okami. The first steamed vegetables arrived, late and were partially cold. Likewise with our Spicy Ika. We then had to get staff to follow up the order for the third round of dishes as they did not seem to arrive until followed up. Finally, the Taiyaki while still tasty was oily on the outside, still cold on the inside and tasted like the kitchen needed to change their oil. Not the usual dining experience we have come to expect from Okami.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and fresh, and came out very fast.
