Family Valentines celebrations of love! We loved this dinner night, the 5.30 session was perfect for us and out by 7.30, the food was so fresh and clean eating, on one of the busiest night of the year the staff coped very well. We will go back as it's also great value for your dollar

Second time we have been and everything was just as good this time around. Being valentines day it was very busy but even so the food came out pretty quickly. Plenty to choose from and reasonably priced!

Terrific food, good service, excellent value for money. Agadashi tofu is superb, black sesame icecream is delish. In fact all dishes apart from the seaweed salad were great. Staff are friendly and efficient, menu is ample.

Food was pretty good. However, service was a bit slow initially and we found one of the waitresses to be a bit pushy and rude. Would not go back for a special occasion, ok for quick and casual night out.

Service and food quality was good :) No wait time, however hard to contact. Tried calling their contact number numerous time but no-one picks up. It’s a mobile number too

Every dish brought out was delicious. The service was excellent - the staff were timely and - thank you. Would highly recommend everyone checks out his place out.

Okami, is always the best! First time we've at Fairfield one and it was exactly the same with the Brunswick one wich we've been a lot of times! Keep cooking well guys!!!

My husband, daughter and I ate at the 5.30pm sitting tonight (New Year’s Day). We were very impressed with the freshness of the food and the speed with which it was served considering the number of customers arriving at the same time. The sashimi was fresh but the fillings were a little ordinary. Everything else we ate was delicious. We enjoyed four entrees, four mains and rice. We were very impressed that the restaurant did not add a Public Holiday loading to the bill. Our waiter was just amazing providing courteous and timely service. Dirty dishes were cleared promptly. The meal was very reasonably priced and we appreciated being able to bring our own wine with only $5 charged for corkage. A very enjoyable experience and we will definitely return with friends. Amazing selection of food with high quality sashimi and sushi. Great and delicious Japanese food with nice desserts. Efficient service even during peak period. Highly recommended!

Great food for the amount we paid. Friendly staff. Food came out quickly and no lengthy wait. Food was fresh also. But quality could be improved if I’m honest.

Loved every minute. Perfect service, prompt service of food when ordered. Not a single complaint, will definitely be bringing family here in the near future.

Enjoyed Okami food very tasty, portions are virtually a mouthful, although chicken karaage was excellent and reasonable serve, not sure if we were told that 10 orders was the max we could order as I couldn’t quite understand the waiter, they do advertise all u can eat though. Will check this out if there is a limit as will def go back. Staff very good and attentive. Good value though. 👍

Service was quick and polite. Quantities were generous. Black sesame ice cream was exceptional. Additional condiments and better wasabi would add to an already satisfying experience.

The wait time for food was too long and it was way too loud in the restaurant. However, the taste of the food was excellent.

Had a few troubles at first finding our reservation. Food came out fast and was nice. Ending was rushed as staff constantly approached our table to tell us to leave, although our time was under 2 hours. Did not get to enjoy the last few dishes and desserts.

Fairfield Okami better than footscray okami, at least we got all our orders and service was good (i think waiter didn‘t understand much English) have to repeat our order few times.

In the heart of inner urban Melbourne, in Fairfield to be exact you find this cheap and cheerful but good honest Japanese food restaurant with little byo surcharge and all you can eat from the menu - not a hideous buffet. Give it a try.

Was an enjoyable night - attentive service and food was good . Personally, the food be a tad less salty and less oily with the fried stuff. But all my guests, some first timers, enjoyed the variety, freshness and ambience. Well done Fairfield Okami.

Amazing quality of food. Did not have to wait long for meals to come out, and service was prompt with removal of plates and taking new orders. Overall an amazing second visit to Okami, and will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends.

Great range of tasty Japanese foods served by attentive staff in a pleasant environment. The venue is BYO with fixed price / all you can eat menu, enabling you to sample different foods and have more serves of those you particularly like. The staff are very attentive and unlike so many other restaurants, it is quiet enough to facilitate discussions with your guests. A thoroughly good night out & highly recommended.

Went for dinner with relatives visiting from Ireland and we absolutely loved it! Food fantastic service great and kid friendly too! Will definitely be back!

I went here with my boyfriend and it was one of my favourite dates that we've been on. The food was fantastic and the staff were super friendly!

Welcome special but not over the top. Excellent menu. Initially some concern whether waiter could understand me fully and she did and her younger colleagues fully conversant. Service again was excellent without sloppy sucking up for tips. food came fresh and without long wait even though restaurant 70 percent full. Pricing very reasonable. Venue easy parking being on northern fringe of shopping centre. Only reason not 6star was that the restaurant had no outlook but for west facing (hot sun) busy Station St. A Japanese garden courtyard venue would make it an 8 star.

Amazing food as usual. The teriyaki steak was so fresh and tasty and the karage chicken was he crispiest we’ve ever had. But way way too loud.

So much better than expected. We enjoyed our evening very much and will be back with other friends whenever we can. The staff is wonderful, and the food is so fresh!! I'm very glad I saw an ad for this restaurant somewhere, and remembered the name!!!

Awkward service and told we were only able to order 3 times!! We were also charged for leftover icecream that was eaten by another one of our family members! Food was delicious but service not so great

Okami is one of my go to Restaurants. The service is great, the food arrives very fast and I am always satisfied with the meals.

Good environment and staff very friendly. Plenty of delicious food and very cheap. We will come back again and we make sure we riferral the restaurant to friends and family. Good place to spend evening in company. Thanks for the ospitality
