I recently celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday at Oldtown Barangaroo with her and her friends, and the experience couldn’t have been better. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a perfect blend of modern and traditional Chinese decor. The staff went above and beyond to make the celebration special, offering attentive service and ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The menu had an impressive variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor. The Peking duck was crispy and succulent, a real highlight of the meal. The vermicelli shrimp was perfectly cooked, with delicate noodles complementing the fresh and juicy shrimp. The salt and pepper squid was crispy, tender, and seasoned just right, making it another standout dish. To top off the celebration, the staff brought out a special mango pancake for dessert, which was the perfect sweet treat. The pancake was light and fluffy, with fresh mango adding a burst of tropical flavor—an ideal ending to the meal that made the celebration even more memorable. Oldtown Barangaroo is now one of our favorite spots for authentic Chinese cuisine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing meal in a vibrant atmosphere—whether it’s a casual dinner or a special occasion!

Tasty food and a large variety of selections. Item 1507 - Beef Fillet in Sichuan Spicy, Soup with Glass Noodles was especially an interesting dish that I've not had before but was surprisingly very tasty but also not at all spicy. Though, my spice tolerance is probably a little bit higher in comparison so don't take my word for it. All I can say is that even though it says, "numbing spicy", it certainly wasn't numbing... that or they forgot the Sichuan peppercorns? Delicious nonetheless.
