Palm Sugar Thai Cuisine

Entrees were good but mains were a let down. Had heard good reviews about it but when we went the place was empty. May be there were having an off night.

We had a lovely meal, attentive service; restaurant was very quiet due to us dining early before a show. Barramundi was amazing, will be back for that alone! Would like to see the dumpling return to the menu. Nice ambience, a gem in the heart of Richmond. A very nice day Thai restaurant.

The food was ok but probably overpriced for the quality.

My friend and I after seeing a film, were ready to get into the car to head to Palm Sugar. Laughed and laughed as the heavens had opened up and it was raining cats and dogs - so got nice and wet running back to the car! I rang Palm Sugar to let them know a little late - and when we arrived, loved seeing our name on the table! Sat down and enjoyed a delicious and enjoying 'dining moment' in life!

A group of 12 of us, close friends for a long time booked in for Saturday dinner. We were happy that we had been allocated a private room upstairs. A lovely meal, with the privacy we required in a beautiful atmosphere with a couple of Buddha statues and paintings of the Buddha and serene like atmosphere with flowers. Very tasteful, service was good and atmosphere too.

This is the best Thai food that we have had in quite a long time. The Blossum dumplings were especially delicious. The waitress was lovely and we had a most enjoyable evening. If I had to be critical of anything, it would just be that the lighting in the dining area was a bit bright. If it was dimmed a little, it would create a nicer ambiance. However, highly recommend this place. Great food, great service and very good value!

Delicious, healthy food & excellent service. Pleasantly exotic surroundings with a Thai theme. Our party of 8 was looked after beautifully. We ordered a selection of main course items + steamed rice, and shared. You can ask for non-hot-spicy versions of the dishes. My wife and I have enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner at Palm Sugar the last few years so thought we'd give it a shot for Christmas Eve with close friends. Turned out to be a great decision. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Highly recommended.

Best Thai food in Melbourne hands down, and I’ve tried a lot. Amazing staff who manage to make every single customer feel valued and special, the chef even comes out to discuss your dietary needs. This place manages to achieve what so many restaurants try to - gorgeous, authentic unpretentious food in a cosy setting. A true delight.

We enjoyed the courses we ordered - we had a red curry and fried whole barramundi. The service was very good and the prices are very reasonable.

Great service and price. Really enjoyed the panang curry. Some of the starters seemed a little too artificial with the chicken satay a little dry.

Lovely Royal thai food. Not too heavy. Great service. We all enjoyed the dinner. Have been coming here for years. The price was very reasonable. Fed 3 of us with a bottle of wine for $107.

Palm Sugar is a great little restaurant, fabulous menu, well priced, like very staff, great menu, easy location! What's not to love? Try the barramundi!

Fantastic flavours, generous serves, nice quite venue and can easily talk at the table. We will definitely return. A little slow with desserts after ordering.
