PunThai Restaurant

Booked on the day. Pleasant staff. Good food. Prices middle-uppish range. Reasonably prompt service - although quite busy. They have a challenge with the front door letting in cold air - but they have tried to at least partially remedy this. A bit noisy - but I guess that's quite common these days. All in all - a good experience.

The food was fantastic. Loved the flavours. Would definitely go again.

I have to admit, I was pretty disappointed tonight. It has been a while since I have been to Pun Thai...and I'm sad to say that this restaurant has gone downhill. We arrived at 6.15pm and ordered almost straight away. Our spring rolls came out relatively quickly....and then there was a wait of almost an hour until we got our mains....which didn't all come at once! My main got served first, my partner's came 5 minutes later and his grandmother's came 15 minutes after that. We waited for so long and couldn't even eat together. By the time we finished eating, it was 8pm...over 90 minutes since we arrived. There was only one waitress on the floor who was run off her feet. At least one more FOH staff was definitely required. While there were two chefs in the kitchen, they were not efficient. Uber Eats pickups seemed to get priority over customers coming in. And the restaurant was freezing! Turn the bloody heaters on!! The food was fine...but what's the point when you wait so long and everyone at your table gets served at separate times?? For $95 I expect better. We won't be back.
