So what can you expect to find when dining at the revered Restaurant Moon Sydney? Inspired by the combination of traditional Thai cooking and European molecular gastronomy, everything on the menu at Moon is created and plated with a staggering amount of attention to detail. Going above and beyond to give guests visiting the Darlinghurst space an experience they won’t forget, the team have created a curated wine list that, paired alongside the main menu, is a true sensory experience. We really don’t say that lightly either.
For dinner, things at Restaurant Moon Darlinghurst really shine. We recommend starting off in the crescent moon section with fresh Coffin Bay oysters served with shallots, lime, chilli, compressed grapes and coriander; crumbled Hokkaido scallop dumplings with umeboshi jam and Tasmanian-smoked betel leaf salmon. Then, for light bites it’s the half moon that’s home to Thai noodle dishes, crab fried rice and a delicious egg pancake. Mains at Restaurant Moon consist in the full moon menu – we love the hay-fried spatchcock with chilli and cashews; whole snapper with green papaya salad and green curry made with beef cheeks, eggplant, anchovies and basil. A welcome addition to Sydney, Moon in Darlinghurst on Liverpool Street is a foodie haven you don’t want to miss!
