Tofu tasted sour. Not sure why! The salad were tough to chew. Was a let down experience this time at Shyun. Creamy croquettes only came when nearly finished eating the meal.

All the food we ordered are delicious! The service is efficient too with food arriving shortly after we ordered. My all time favourite Japanese restaurant!

We had dinner at 8:00pm and the restaurant closed at 9:30. Not enough time for 9 people to eat properly. Everything was rushed with all the dishes coming at the same time and everything had to be eaten by 9pm as the kitchen closed. Therefore, I recommend that you are less greedy and have only one seating per night rather than two.

Overall a nice dining experience with good lighting and seating. The sashimi was a little bit fishy (tuna toro) but other it was nice. They forgot one of our dishes/took a bit longer to make but we ended up cancelling it as we were already full.

Really delicious fresh amazing food! We couldn’t believe that we’ve lived in Carnegie for so long and never visited Shyun before. The service was super fast, the staff were all very polite and friendly and although we ordered about triple as much as we could physically eat, the bill was very reasonable.

What a way to start the new year. First restaurant for 2026.

Delicious food, which arrived very soon after we ordered. I'm glad we booked, as walk-ins were being turned away. The greeter was super friendly and helpful. The only thing I don't like is that you can't split the bill. Other than that, it's a great place to eat out.

Wasn’t thr best experience. We were seated and no one came to assist . Had to go get our own menus and then had to approach staff to work out how to order. Then all food came out at once. Entrees and mains all squeezed onto table. Food was yummy. A few of us had curry but were disappointed no vegetables in the curry, no potato or carrot as used to. It needed something to break up the dish.
