The staff were generally friendly and helpful, but our experience was disappointing. With still 20 minutes left before the dining time limit, we placed another order, but the food barely came out. We waited for a long time and asked several times, yet the dishes didn’t arrive. Then, with 10 minutes remaining of the 90-minute dining limit, a staff member came over to remind us that our time was almost up. After we followed up again, they finally brought out just two of the dishes we ordered. Overall, it was a very poor experience. Given the high price, the food and service did not match the value. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

The food came very quickly and it was good portions as well as being very tasty. We asked for more kimchi and raddish and they were generous in giving us some more. Overall good value for money and nice atmosphere. Just a little bit warm sitting inside with just the windows open.

Food is great, location is super easy, street parking can be hard to find but was lucky enough to find a spot nearby, menu options are quite good. The atmosphere here is great we sat in the front area, it can get quite noisy and hot inside but this didnt deter us from a great night out. Will definitely go again.

The food was great. There was a female staff quite rude to us. She brought the banchan to our table, put down and pushed toward us in a rush, created an unpleasant experience. It was the same female staff came and informed us that our dining time was over and quickly walked way. The way she informed us was not friendly. We still had lots of food on the table didn’t ask us if we wanted to take away or gave us a chance to ask for takeaway boxes. Just informed us our time was over, lots of customers were waiting outside and walked away, which made us felt she’s rude.

Very friendly staff, family friendly environment. There's a nice vibe about the place. Our reservation was for 4pm, so it wasn't crowded at all. My family enjoyed the food, the sides and sauces went well with our barbequed meat. If you're willing to pay that little bit extra, give this place a go

I've been to this pochaxkbbq restaurant many times. We ordered two of the 700g pork belly set (comes with raw marinated crabs and egg stew), 2x garlic soy chicken (boneless), seafood pancake and kimchi stew. This indeed fed 7 people very well. However, the quality of the food has gone down by a milestone. Considering that I went on a busy Friday night, we were trying to be gracious with the wait times for food. However, almost 45 minutes passed with only 1x chicken out and the pans (for grilling pork belly) were extremely hot. I could tell the wait staff were purposefully ignoring me since it was super packed which was reasonable for the first couple of times. We had to wait about an hour for our food to come out ALL at once with barely any space on the table. As a korean, the kimchi stew was way too sweet and almost tasted tomato-like. My non-korean friends also agreed that it was much sweeter than what they've had at other restaurants. The seafood pancake was okay. Maybe it's because I'm used to having a much thinner and crispy texture, it was a bit too thick and mushy for my liking. They were generous with the prawns inside though. The chicken was much lower than what I expected. Felt like I was eating batter 80% of the time. There were only 5-6 pieces of actual chicken meat - that eventually becomes difficult to chew overtime due to the thickness of the hard skin. Flavour was okay too. Egg stew was pretty good though, it still had it's silky texture and flavour - just something I wouldn't order without a set if it was over $10. Raw marinated crabs tasted a bit fishy and hard to eat without gloves... but the flavour was still there. Soju and other alcoholic drinks weren't too expensive (I'd say $16 for a bottle is not that bad especially in this current economy) It was difficult for us to hear each other through the loud noise (it is a pocha after all) but the vibes were lively so I didn't mind it too much. Overall, still a restaurant I'd go back to have a chill night out with my friends! - maybe just not a Friday or Saturday night.. and will try to get better value for food.

The restaurant was only half full at the non BBQ area, but we waited about 30 minutes to get the food served, even it was just a marinated crab which should be ready to serve. The bimbimbab that should come with that for $7 was cancelled after we already finished the 2 plates of marinated crab and only have 2 slices of kimchi pancake. The staff offered us a complimentary steamed rice to make up for the bimbimbab. They should have come to us saying the bimbimbab was sold out at the time they brought up the crabs, not when we had 2 slices of kimchi pancake left and the offer for steamed rice was not considerate at all.

Seafood pancake took over an hour to come, it came as we were finishing eating and when we asked the waiter to put it in a takeaway box for us she let out a big sigh and rolled her eyes at us. There was no apology / acknowledgement of the delay but instead we were faced with a rude attitude. Other than that, the raw beef tartare and fish cake soup was delicious, however, would not recommend the bulgogi japchae.
