Family-run and committed to serving diners the very best of Lebanese and Armenian cuisine, Teta’s in Sydney’s Roseville Chase didn’t take long to become the darling of the city’s foodie scene. Situated near Echo Point Park and North Arm Reserve, Teta’s finds itself in a lovely region of northern Sydney on Babbage Road. The perfect place to take that vegetarian in your life, you can trust that the food at this local hotspot is of the highest standard.
Meaning grandma’s in Arabic, Teta’s prepares the type of cuisine that’ll make you think of sweet memories and good times past. Yes, the food here evokes feelings of childhood, and that’s because Teta’s serves comfort food that makes diners feel warm and fuzzy. The Lebanese and Armenian specialties of this calibre can’t be found anywhere else in Sydney. And even better, the place is family-run, so come on in and experience that cosy feeling you’ve been after at this restaurant in Sydney’s Roseville Chase.
Using local and sustainable ingredients, the kitchen team at Teta’s aims to emulate the fresh cooking style that’s used in Lebanon and Armenia. Start off with a sambousik, a savoury pastry filled with minced lamb, onions and pine nuts, or take a plate of fried calamari served with aioli and lemon. For your entree, try the samke harra, a grilled barramundi fillet topped with coriander, tahini, capsicum, chilli, garlic and onion. Vegetarian? Try the hummus and homemade falafel or go for the baba ghannouj, a creamy eggplant dip made with garlic and tahini. If that’s up your alley (it’s definitely up ours) we recommend making a reservation for Teta’s on Babbage Road in Sydney’s Roseville Chase.
Excellent food and service. Two guests tried many Lebanese restaurants and said was definitely one of the best been to . we will be back
Outstanding service, food and atmosphere. Would go there over and over. Loved the hummous. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The belly dancer was a fabulous addition.
Great food and great service! The lady fingers were my favorite. The belly dancer was a lovely surprise! It was recommended by two friends. Glad we went
Great food ! 6 of us went for dinner and had the deluxe banquet. Far too much food and the flavours were delicious and service excellent. A great Lebanese food experience.
We dined here last night as a family of four. The restaurant was packed to the rafters yet the service was impeccable. We are from a Middle Eastern background so .. we know what a good feed is! This is by far , the best Lebanese restaurant in Sydney. This place would actually put some international restaurants to shame. Every thing is done to perfection. Strongly advise that you visit Teta's . Teta's means " Grandma's" .. and the food on offer here is nothing short of what Grandma used to make for us when she was alive. My favourites : Sambussac , Kibbe , tabouli , fatoush , homous , garlic sauce , all the grilled meats , lemon chicken ... actually the whole menu is to die for , I have pretty much smashed it all in the past 2 years and can not fault any of it. Do yourselves a favour.. Hit this place up !
I was waiting for this chance to review Teta's. The most amazing Lebanese cuisine I've ever had. (My husband agreed whole-heartedly as well). I purchased a Groupon voucher for this most delightful meal but I ended up feeling bad that I didn't pay the full price. They so deserve to be paid full price because the ingredients were fresh, service wonderful and each dish full of flavour. We even had four dips to enjoy. Really I owe them a glowing review or else I will be plagued with guilt. OMG the Lebanese coffee..first time and I fell in love with it! My hubby and I will definitely come back :D
Great food and atmosphere is good for a lively meal. Service is friendly but they were struggling to keep up with it last night. It wasn't terrible, but we did have to ask for some things a few times towards the end of the meal, which considering we had a set banquet, was a sign they were under the pump. It certainly didn't ruin our night or experience, but some people may find it frustrating. As the night goes on they have a belly dancer and loud music, so I would recommend eating early or on a night they don't have a dancer if you want a quiet, intimate experience.
Have been a long time customer of Teta's and always enjoy myself when I'm there. The food is plentiful and moreish, staff are attentive and helpful while the atmosphere is always fun. Drop by on the weekends for a festive belly dance! Thanks Tetas!
We have been going to Teta's for the last 2 years. We take friends here as the service is fantastic never a disappointment and food is delicious. We have used the catering service for a birthday and it was a great it.
Teta's is a great restaurant. The food is of very good quality and presented very well. The portion sizes are generous. A lot of effort has been put into the theming of the restaurant, making it quite unique in Australia where theming isn't generally done to this extent.
