Went for quick meal before show. Ordered 1 starter &1 main 2 servings of rice.2 glasses of wine $90 .0 to give you an idea of costs. Food good . Service ok. Asked all food brought at same time again but still served starter first , then a 10 min wait till the rest arrived. Normally not an issue but if you are in a hurry it slows you down.

Understaffed - food took ages to come from kitchen and only 2 staff. Multiple people around us were complaining as we were. 20 mins to take our order and 30 mins to receive first dish.

A couple having a pre-theatre Valentine's Day. We were in and out in 1 hour, with plenty of time for our show. The food was delicious and amazing quality. Best salt and pepper squid we have probably ever had. Couldn't fault anything. Would have loved to have the pre-theatre banquet for two, however both members of the party do not eat the same foods.

Left it late to book a pre theatre meal so few choices led me to a great place. Bund is so cute and food was delicious at a reasonable price. Almost next to the Roslyn Packer Theatre this innovative Chinese cosy and pretty place was just perfect for us

While the service was fine the restaurants aircon was inadequate for the hot night. The menu is also quite limited for a Chinese restaurant

Enjoyable atmosphere and nice location. Do not order dumplings because the portions are honestly not acceptable. Other than that, I'll go again.

Went for dinner, before a show. Food served in a timely manner. Had the crispy eggplant. Prawns with black fungus all delicious 😋. Will be back.

Dumplings were good. Other dishes ok. Restaurant was a bit noisy (too many hard surfaces) but they kindly moved us to a quieter spot away from two larger groups

As usual, the food was very good. This time we chose a pre-theatre banquet menu which certainly hit the mark.

A bit disappointing. The food lacked distinctive flavours - we had a Cantonese-like prawn main course and a Sichuan chicken dish also; the prawn and chive dumplings were good. Service was friendly from relatively novice staff.

We didn't enjoy the food. The noodles tasted like they were flavoured with curry powder and the roast pork was a sliced sausage.

Ran out of of two main courses (only a choice of 8 or so to begin with), as early as 6.30pm. Very limited choice and food was very average tasting.

Excellent pre-theatre meal. Four of us shared three serves of dumpling/dim sum and two main courses plus fried rice. Perfect. And all served impeccably. We’ll be back!

This review is negative because there was an ENORMOUS group (30+ people) that arrived. Staff were overwhelmed and did their best - but for us it was not the usual level good service - understandably so. We still love this restaurant!

A Fawlty Towers dining experience. It was chaotic when we arrived despite being less than half full. Nobody seemed to be in charge of the front of house. We ordered sparkling water from one of the wait staff, but another then came over and filled our glasses with tap water! I had to point out we'd ordered sparkling. Our order arrived without one of the starters. I asked about it and it finally arrived after we'd finished the rest of our meal! And it wasn't what was described on the menu. Peanuts are not hazelnuts! We were luckier than the people on the next table who waited more than 30 mins for their entrees despite asking twice. A really poor experience.

Kitchen not able to handle the demands of a Saturday night, was told there was a 40 minute wait for mains, then we’re brought the wrong order. Food wasn’t anything special either especially for the cost

I’ve been here before and it was good. Tonight, the cauliflower was watery and our only main dish was forgotten so we had to leave having only eaten starters and watery cauliflower. Dumplings were lovely.

Was disappointed with some of the food - kung pao chicken was stir fried chicken with vegetables and some dried chilli thrown in at the end. So it was not very spicy. Service good and efficient and a good range of wines. Walk-ins were also accepted. I think the noise level has increased as I do not remember it quite as noisy last year.

I hate writing negative reviews, but at this end of town before a play at the the theatre, I expected far better. The food was fast food quality to be blunt - stodgy and bland. The food was edible if you are hungry, but it fell far short of a dining experience. No wonder there were so few customers between 6-7.30pm on a Saturday night. An almost empty restaurant, whereas the neighbouring Chinese was fully booked days in advance.

They have no rose wine, my husband wasn't asked if he wanted a second drink, his glass was taken and no thought to another one, it was almost impossible to get staff attention and there's no hoisin sauce. Apparently it's just easier to say - no we don't have.

We were going to the theatre so needed quick service and meals. The food was great as was the service. Unfortunately they left out a dish we ordered then it was too late to eat it before the theatre. They simply took it off the bill without question. I will definitely go back again

I should have dedicated more time to the meal. It was good. I rushed to get to the opera early. Mea culpa. I love the idea of indigenous ingredients. I will return some time.
