Not at all welcoming. We felt as if we were a bother to serve! The website clearly states they serve “Afternun” from 2-6pm, but at 3:30 we were told we needed to go and look at the cakes inside as that was all that was available. We were told that the website was incorrect! Our coffee and cakes were very tasty however but don’t think we’ll be going back.

Eggs Benedict and Breaky Wrap was overpriced for the size and quality supplied. Table service and Staff are nice and efficient.

my drink tasted like dish soap. I had the haloumi burger with chicken and my partner had the wagyu burger but both were a bit lacking in ingredients. My partner's burger had a tiny slice of tomato and both seemed to miss a fair bit of flavour. Chips were great!

It was ok. My husband had the pancakes which he has had in the past (his favorite) not this time. They weren't light and fluffy at all! And drenched / swimming in maple syrup. Maybe to disguise the pan cakes?? Eggs Benny with bacon was ok. Could have had more hollandaise sauce. Coffees great. The flying nun is flying only on their reputation from the past unfortunately.....

This was my second visit to the Flying Nun and I was not aware that it had changed hands. We were seated and served coffee quite quickly, then we asked for 5 minutes to decide on food, but after a long wait, I had to go and find someone to take the order. The food was well-priced for breakfast, but parts of the dish were over-cooked. We were not asked if we wanted anything else, and we noticed many customers left without ordering. Staff need to be allocated an area, and not keep disappearing. It may be economical to employ teenagers, but lots more training is needed. Uniforms (at least a similar coloured shirt perhaps) would be helpful in identifying a staff member when help is needed. Also, ditch the cowbell! I don't know how many times it rang whilst we were there, but it was super-annoying. Lots of work to be done to raise the standard of this cafe!
