I was disappointed that after booking a table with a couple of weeks notice we ended up with a barrel and no chairs. The staff did find us 2 chairs but the barrel wasnt big enough for us to order a proper dinner and eat it on.

Food and drinks were reasonably priced. The venue is looking shabby and very noisy.

Staff were very friendly and professional. Food and drink hit the spot also.

We surprised how busy and noisy it is was, but it was due to, Fringe Festival and a glory game. The staff did a great job considering the amount of people they had to serve. Food was average, we will have to come again on a quieter night

Disappointed with the fish. We were there in September 2025 and had Barramundi and the salad had a nice dressing. This time the fish was not Barramundi and salad had no dressing.

Noise level to that expected for a sports bar watching the BBL I always eat at The Shoe before a game at Optus. It is convenient and good value, jf

A bit noisy but otherwise one of our favourite places in the middle of town. Great location.

Table for 6 booked - wasn't clean when we arrived, although our reserved sign was there. Location of table was excellent and as we'd requested, food was good, drinks well priced.

Bar attendant should have been trained to understand how to read a wine label and also pour the correct beer. Obviously new top the role. Calamari came out first as an entree instead of a main. Then when it was corrected. it contained solid crusted pieces of inedible hard something withe the pieces of calamari.

The booking system was great, easy to book, confirmations were timely, and request accommodated. We sat at the balcony facing the university, and walking through crammed indoor area or side balcony was a bit of an effort - I feel that this, combined with lack of ability to order on table, restricted orders and we did not stay as long as we'd normally would. Also we were unaware of rockbreakers being in operation that late in the afternoon - although outside of venues' control, it was quite unpleasant at time. We chose not to move inside because noise levels were too high. Drinks selection and prices were great though. We will be back once ECU's construction is finished.

Drinks were nice and cold and food was outstanding. Service was great.

Thanks to the team at Shoe Bar, everything was fantastic, food was delicious, beers where nice and cold and not expensive and the service was amazing and very attentive. Will definitely have another function here.

For a wildcat member The Shoe a great stop for dinner and other sports fan. It’s a great buzz. Service was quick we ordered a pizza yummy🍕 I’ll be back again

Booked a table a week ago to watch the footy, ended up with a table reserved outside with no sound and poor view. Luckily got here early enough to get a table inside for the full experience. Beer prices are good but that’s it, don’t rely on them to reserve a table for sport

It's our usual stop before heading to the stadium. Easy to get to, great value and friendly staff. Also, really easy to book a table online.

Unfortunately the Salt & Pepper Calamari was not up to usual standard. Table was in fabulous view of Yagan Square prime spot.

It was a great place for get-together! Simply loved it!
