Ventuno Restaurant

It's a lovely place, but food was a little disappointing compared to our previous visits there.

Another enjoyable meal. Staff ensured we had our meal and wine in time for us to make the theatre at 1pm

Hi there, I always love the atmosphere, food and especially the service, and all was good, but this time a bit noisier (perhaps due to our specific spot on the banquette), and the golosa pizza not quite as good as I remember it — though still very good.

Was a lovely night, food and cocktails was beautiful. Staff were gorgeous. ( I was a bit sad that the person paying our bill didn’t leave a tip. So apologies for that ) highly recommen

Dreadful service. Wrong wine twice. Wrong drinks. Waited over 30 mins to be served after ordering (Just pasta, nothing compkex) when numerous tables that arrived after us were served. Salad arrived over 10 minutes after pasta. Tried to give us other tables food and drink 3 times. Pre theatre and horribly rushed despite having 90 mins. Won't go back.

This restaurant should better cater for theatre goers. The meals we had were quite ordinary. My friend had fresh linguini with prawns and scampi. There was no linguini - spaghetti and it was not fresh. The prawns were over cooked and the scampi tasteless. My other friend and I had ravioli with spinach and ricotta which was lukewarm. The pre theatre menu consisted of pizza and pasta and a limited salad range. We were asked twice whether we enjoyed our meal and gave the above feedback. Was there any type of compensation - No!!! We come to this area a lot however we won’t be back. Very poor!!

Ventuno has a great location. Its prices are up to that location but it's range of food is too limited. I have been there many times but last night I found the latest menu very restrictive for someone with an allergy to tomato. Other, even cheaper, Italian restaurants can provide a much better choice of dishes without pommedoro.

The atmosphere and food were lovely, and although the staff were very nice, I had to ask for our wine 3 times because they were too busy. More staff is needed, or a better system. Overall I would go back

Felt so cheated by the $6 wood fire bread which looked like normal bread given as complimentary at any Italian restaurants! At the end of our experience, the server (some european guy) had the audacity to asked us if we wanted our change (of $30!) which we found it so unprofessional! Never coming back and never recommending this to friends.

Good food, great wine variety. Excellent location. Service quick and efficient. It's a little expensive for the size and type of meal. We were pre theatre diners and they cater well for that.

Ventuno has always been one of our preferred restaurants for dining until recently. The food is great, the portions could be better and the wait staff are usually good however we experienced our first issue during our last dining experience. When it came to dessert time, we were told that there was only Vanilla flavoured gelato available. I kindly asked if it were the same vanilla custard flavour as we usually have or just plain vanilla. I was told that it was exactly the same as always given the same supplier. When it arrived we were all very disappointed. The icecream that we were given tasted just like the streets icecream you would find at the supermarket. We were mostly disappointed that the waitress was quite rude once we told her that it didn't taste like the gelato we were expecting which was extremely good, always leaving a BIG impression! For this reason we will think before didning at Ventuno again. I feel as though the waitress could have been honest and at the very least polite when we brought this to her attention.

Love Ventuno and have eaten there on many occasions. However this time the food was a bit disappointing - orrechiette was bland and tasteless. But I'll consider it a blip and return another time.
